Neither really. Could be a mini-Tyson but far too flawed defensively and this out-boxing style isn't very smart for a short handed fighter. He'd be far better taking pages out of the Hopkins, Ward and Bradley book of inside skills (and not the illegal stuff), this style is too risky both against a puncher who can time his approach such as JuanMa and a defensively skilled outside fighter with a jab such as John. Not everyone will open up and give Gamboa the chance, and he's nowhere near Mike's or Roy's level at creating it.
