Those saying innocent until proven guilty: Do you agree that boxing has a major problem in its hands? I believe every fighter needs to be tested year round and promoters ala Golden Boy should not be hiring USADA for their services. Just how Erik Morales should have not been allowed to fight Danny Garcia after testing positive for a banned substance.
didn't he have that HGH gut in his last fight? I remember a bunch of people commentating on it in the RBR. While not ironic, it is funny that this is coming to light as there was talk of him facing Donaire, the only boxer who could unequivocally state he is PED free.
Naive sports fans. Steroids have been known to be in athletic competition since 1952. Testing in the Olympics began in the late '60's because there were problems in the Olympics. Yet, sports fans don't think professional athletes have been using in the time span since, and that it is a little problem that just happened in baseball in the late '90's and isn't in boxing at all. Face it, our favorite boxers from the 1970's onward were almost all on PED's of some kind. I've long said, this is the pinnacle of athletic competition with their families' livelihood on the line. The amount of athletes who use PED's on the elite, pro level is above 50%.
