I was hoping Curtis would do a spectacular ring entrance for Gamboa but it turned out to be a serious FAIL in SELF promotion. I'm just a hermit so I don't pay attention to the crap the media world tries to force down our throats but I haven't seen any EFFECTIVE promotion out of him yet.

Why would he? Boxing is a risk vs reward business. There is no reward for a Gamboa win over JuanMa right now. If JuanMa wants another top money fight, he needs to get some good back to back wins and bring his share to the table.

If Gamboa comes in looking like he did this weekend, the Jaunma fight is still 50-50.

JuanMa got spanked twice by a guy who Gamboa dom'd and lost most of his bankability. He's gonna have to come back with a few wins over some decent names before even thinking about fighting Gamboa.

That said, Gamboa needs to work on his cockiness, because he's gonna get ****ed up if he keeps thinking he's Prince Naseem.

I understand Gamboa's point. Gamboa is still the undefeated fighter and his stock and value as a fighter is miles up from Lopez. JuanMa has to " earn " a fight with Yuri because he has to erase the Salido KO's and prove himself.

If he comes back at 130 pounds and proves himself against worthy opposition ( in about 2-3 bouts ) then a Gamboa-Lopez fight at 130-135 could once again be very appealing.

    ;)

Maybe... But I think roids had a lot to do with Salido's KO over JuanMa... Kinda like Roids played a big part this past Saturday against Manny (No more roids) Pacquaio.

Why wouldnt he, who else at 130 would bring him more money.... Uchiyuma? GTFO, There is no better fight minus an unkwon unification. Fight Juanma then go 135. This ***** **** has got to stop.

The only way he would fight Juanma is if there's a 70/30 split, other than that fuk Juanma, he needs to have some quality wins before he gets another big fight.

JuanMa needs to put his career back together, before getting a fight of that magnitude.

Considering what he just saw from Gamboa my confidence would be at an all time high. Gamboa has as bad as a defense as Juanma ..If im Juanma I'd be like **** I could most liklely KO this guy ! Gamboa better keep taking tune ups before he takes a fight of a bigger mangnitude..That comeback was almost derailed on Saturday !

    Good.

Not that it couldn't be a good fight, though.

Arum and JuanMa ducked the Gamboa and Caballero fights at their peak clamor and they shouldn't be awarded those type of fights now with JuanMa having done nothing to earn them.

(Actually, I wouldn't mind JuanMa-Caballero with the winner possibly getting Gamboa)
