excuses, excuses. leonard came off a 3 year layoff and beat Hagler. Gamboa needs and uses an excuse from a 15 month layoff why he looked like **** against something called Farenas

How do you think Lopez would do against Farenas?

Easy fight for El Ciclon. What's the matter with him? Cuba vs PR first big money fight for Gamboa.

Probably Not well, Farenas is tough and has some pop. He was put against Gamboa for Gamboa to impress...

If 50 is a smart promoter this would be an excellent showcase fight for Gamboa and he could make a pretty penny off of it.

Think about this fight in MSG/Barclay Center, Miami Florida, or in Puerto Rico.
Gamboa waving the Cuban flag and throwing down teh Puerto Rican flag, getting all the people juiced up.

Maybe cut a side deal with Arum to have the Salido v. Valez fight on the undercard,
Maybe a Billy Dibb v. Broner card as the main event, to setup Broner fighting the winner of the Gamboa/JuanMa fight at 135.

Throw in a ****ing Andre Dirrell fight vs. a solid 168 name, maybe someone like Pavlik. Monster card.

Billy Dibb? the 126 lbs? against Broner, the huge 135? nope
the is not bad blood between cubans and boricuas, the throwing flag doesnt work here.As a matter of fact both flags look almost identical.
everything Lopez needs is to get himself back in the map, make some statement against decent names.
the right place for this fight would be the Garden or the Miami AA arena, if the undercard is good enough maybe the new Marlins stadium.

Billy Dibb wants to fight him, he is your fight, why not. Let them fight and hopefully Dibb puts up a good scrap in his loss and builds a Katsidisis type rip as a blood and cuts type fighter, so now he gets tv coverage when he goes back down.

I think you're being unfair to Juanma given that Arum did everything possible to not make the fight...Blame that snake Arum instead of Juanma.
