Who else would like to see this? I was trying to remember that fight and it was during the time I was on vacation in Florida so I was not able to pay attention as well as I normally do. I am watching it today for the first time since the live event. I am only in the 3rd round I am noticing some things. The most obvious one is Salidos body. He does not look like he has recently. Nowadays he has a very ripped frame. I know he says he did not train properly for that fight and yes we hear that all the time. Looking at his physique though you can tell he does not look like he did in both of the Lopez fights. There could be some truth to maybe not training as good. I will agree that Gamboa is much better and does things like give angles and use his fast feet so he will always be favored but I would like to see a second fight as I feel Salido has earned it and he has called for it plenty of times. I am going to go back to watching this fight. Let me know what you guys think about this.
I think Salido has gotten a bit better so the fight might be a bit closer but i think that Gamboa has improved as well. I truly believe that if Gamboa wanted to, he could have knocked Salido out.
Not at all !!! If Salido has his wits about him he'll take an alphabet defence or 2 and wait for the inevitable challenge of a 3rd fight from Juanma up @130 Gamboa , what can you say , we thought we had a super fight :deal , now we have **** !!! , if im picking an opponent for Gamboa to reduce the damage caused by losing the Rios fight , im picking Broner or John , in that order
I'd love to see it. Salido has improved in my opinion, much tighter game, and let's loose more/better hand speed. His offensive style means he can get countered but that is easier said then done.
I think so. Salido is on a roll, gave Gamboa a nice trip to the canvas last time, and he doesn't have too many people lined up anytime soon now that Rios is busy.
I am halfway through the fight and I have it either 5-1 Gamboa or 4-2 Gamboa. I gave Salido the 3rd round as I feel that was a clear round for him and the 5th was very close and I am leaning towards Salido but it could be scored either way. So technically I would say 4-1-1 Gamboa through 6.
If memory serves Gamboa stuns and hurts him in 9 and should have stopped him , please correct me if im wrong
Dont know the round but he did hurt him. He should have stopped him but instead he just toyed with Salido and carried him.
I just finished round 9 and no actually another Salido round. Salido stuns and drops Gamboa in the 8th. It looks like a silp at first but Salido got his sneaky right hand on his chin right before. Gamboa gets up quick but you can see he is unsteady on shaky legs adn Salido jumps in landing a very nice combo. 9th was a clear round for Salido.
It is the 10th round. Stunned him with multiple left hooks and Salido would have gone down but Gamboa smothered his work and Salido hung on to him. Salido remained stunned and actually went down himself after he threw a combination. Gamboa was nowhere nearby so they did not count it as a KD. I dont think he would have stopped him though since there was only about 10-20 seconds left in the round.
No need to get emotional after that big win over a limited Lopez. Nobody wants to see another schooling. :deal Lets just preserve that memory of Salido as a winner.
No No No No. Gamboa beat him decisively, theres nothing making me think it would turn out any different.
