The similarities between them are huge (young Mosley)....fast hands and blazing combos + headmovement and footspeed. :think I hope he pans out to be a star, boxing needs more.

He looks nothing like Jones, I don't understand these comparisons. He's quick and has great reflexes, but he doesn't use movement the way Jones did, and is just a completely different physical specimen in terms of body type and athleticism.

He is somewhat similar to a slicker version of Shane at this stage, in that he has the handspeed(we'll see about the power at higher weights, though I doubt it) with better head movement.

Gamboa reminds me more of a 122 pound version of Joan Guzman with less movement and similar handspeed.

Mosley doesnt fight with his hands down like Gamboa does and he didnt relly on reflexes like Gamboa does.
Mosley his a classic boxer-puncher and Gamboa has an unorthodox style based on reflexes like Jones was .of course nobody is saying that hes as good as Jones was,we heve to wait and see how his career unfolds.

probably not..gamboa defense is still suspect. We need to see him on B and A level competition before we can make an assessment. Guzman has KO power before on C level competition and when he fought B and B+ fighters he take them to full 12 rounds.
