Gamboa is always strong for the first half of the fight but as the rounds go on he slows down as someone above said.

If you had the Martinez fight a draw you'd sadly be in the minority mate, so Katsitas wasn't world class he dropped Marquez ( maybe in England that means nothing) Moses was an ex world champ, now I may be wrong but if you win a world title it means your world class or am I missing something or are you on glue:lol:

Katsidis was world class at one point but even you have to admit he had faded by the time Ricky fought him. Ricky was never elite but he was a solid world champion, nothing wrong with that it's a great achievement.

I agree Martinez was world class Billy, but because you drop a world class fighter don't on itself mean your world class. Willie Limond dropped Khan don't mean hes world class. Kastidas was great to watch, was as near as you will get to world class without being it. Ricky was world class at one point over a 2 year period imo

Moog FFS mate Ricky fought 10 world title fights but he wasn't world class, his level of opposition was greater than Scott Harrison's but you say he was world class

i have no idea why fat bill is still going on with the same **** of how Burns would beat him or so and so?

Burns hardly won a round for 3 or 4 fights he was one of the worst/luckiest defending World champions i have ever seen...Gonzalez,Beltran and Crawford made him look like a novice and his comeback fight wasnt much better....

so imo Burns on his very best day would have no chance v Gamboa

I don't think Burns has/had the style to capitalise on that. Crawford's switch hitting and counter-punching is what beat Gamboa. Burns doesn't have those attributes and in imo would lose a decision.

Is it possible for you to post in any Ricky Burns related topics without bringing up your idol Harrison?

Katsidis was way past prime , was almost beheaded by JMM then looked completely washed up against Guerrero. At that stage Katsidis had been beaten every time he had taken the step up to world class so no he wasnt world class.

Also Moses was an ex world champion was he? What belt did he hold? And who was the actual super champ in that division.

Burns is a really nice kid , great attitude but was simply managed well. Winning a world title does not mean you are world class , there are at least 5 or 6 belts to maneuver with.

    Peace.

I doubt it would have lasted 6 rounds , JMM is just so many levels above.

And I like Ricky , this is not a put down , but JMM is just great.

    I agree.

If there was a single fighter at the time that was a nightmare for Burns, it was Gamboa.

Speed, Skill, Power, Accuracy, Movement.. Ricky wouldn't have last 3 rounds with him.
