Its like Arum is saying , Juanma is my star your not fighting him but you can fight Gamboa who is actually better than Juanma its just Juanma sucks dick better than him !!!!!

In promotional terms that obviously translates to Juanma is more marketable than Gamboa , and your not taking my man's 0 .

Either way it looks bad on Juanma that Arum has not given him the nod to fight Caba after he has been calling him out for 18 months , granted Juanma has always said " lets do it " but old Bobby is the boss .

    Thoughts ????

    Whats tricky ????

Caba holds two world title's , Juanma holds 1 , Juanma is on the front cover of the ring and is hailed as the second coming of Tito Trinidad so Caba calls him out .

    Arum says no !!!!!

Caba says ill move up and fight him , and Arum says here you go have Gamboa ......................:deal

Oh, he ducked him. But you honestly don't think about any of the other context involved? Honestly? Come on.

I can understand the ts point but I remember before gamboa signed with top rank he was close to fighting caba. This is unfinished business in my eyes

Arum does not want to cash in his cash cows yet. He still needs to milk them. If Gamboa gets past Cebellaro, it makes Gamboa vs Juanma that much bigger. Arum ultimately is the one who wins in that scenario. He also 'protects' his cash cows when necessary to secure future profit. Maybe he feels Cebellaro vs Juanma could jeopardize his plans. He also could feel that Juanma is more valuable to him than Gamboa.

  9. Do you really blame Arum here? The man isn't cruising these boards trying to find the fight fans want, he's got two up and coming elite fighters that he's trying to build an eventual HUGE fight between. Caballero is a threat to either guy, but Gamboa less so than JuanMa. Its not necessarily JuanMa's "0" Arum is protecting, its that Gamboa vs. JuanMa fight.

  10. And I'll just add that I think Gamboa and JuanMa would both destroy Caballero.

I remember when Mayweather left Bob Arum and decided to become his "own boss". When ESPN's Brian Kenney asked why he left...Floyd Jr. responded with "Bob Arum doesn't not look after the best interest of his fighters" and "Bob Arum only wants to match fighters in his stable against each other to maximize his profits".

People thought Floyd was totally out of line for saying this. Floyd Jr. has been called ALL kinds of names...but even back then, he saw what Arum was all about. HE'S A CROOK, THATS NOT GOOD FOR BOXING!!!!

If you were referring to my post, I don't see how that post can be construed as blame. Its just a likely scenario based on how he's handled his fighters in the past.

Between the two more has been in the press on Juanma not fighting Caballero than Gamboa , the fact they were both world champions in the same weight divison was the factor in this , and Caballero has called out Juanma for over 12 months publicly , if there is un finished business it is certainly between Caba & Juanma !!!!
