Gamboa vs Guzman

two of my favourite fighters so i don't want them to fight each other.

 

why? You'd get to watch both your fighters at the same time. since everybody seems to be avoiding guzman, it seems like a logical choice.

 

i don't want one of my favourite fighters too lose, guzman will not be avoided after he skools campbell, after nate the big fights will come, he will probably get either pacman or the winners of jmm vs casamayor or the winner of katsides vs diaz.

gamboa is fighting at 126 and he looks pretty good there so i would like it if he takes his time and moves up through the divisions slowly, he is only 5'5 so he won't go above 135. i think he will become undisputed at 126 and 130 and then he may decide to take on whoever is at 135.

 

I feel the same way, I like both fighters too much to want to see them fight.

Gamboa only has 11 fights against cans. He has to work his way up.

 

Two tremendous talents, Gamboa is the bigger puncher but I feel he's still a bit raw - he needs some more fights and lay off his exaggerated cockiness. He's still too careless, and he needs a real tough fight to develop. Also his speed is matched by Guzman. Guzman is also the more experienced, polished fighter, and I think he would fight cautious and win a decision against a game, agressive Gamboa if the fight happened now.
In the end, I think Gamboa will become a better fighter than Guzman in a couple of years, as I said he's extremely talented, plus he has a punch and a killer instict - and that's two things that Guzman is lacking.
