I'm a Gamboa fan, but im realistic. JMM probably stops him at this stage, there's to many things we don't know about Yuri yet.
Right now, JMM. Time will only tell how good he turns out to be. But right now he's too open to conters to fight a world class counter puncher. And too unorthodoxed to fight a well schooled boxer. JMM is both. It wouldn't look as bad as Hamed Barrera, but you get the idea. In the future who knows what he adds to his game.
JMM. While I think Gamboa might be able to take Pac in a short fight, JMM is disciplined enough that he would be able to outbox Gamboa all night long. Bad style matchup for Gamboa, and not a fight I would arrange if I were Oner until JMM loses a step.
as talented and gifted as gamboa is, he is not yet proven against contenders never mind elite champions like marquez.
right now of course its marquez..why the heck make a thread such as this, also with the pac vs. gamboa threads. We need to see him, perhaps after this year we could revisit this thread
i love gamboa,i love my cubans boxers,but we shoudnt be carried away by enthusiasm..JMM is at the topest level,Gamboa hasnt gotten that far yet...after 5 more fights we should know better.
