Both guys have huge fan bases claiming their guy is a future ATG.

Gamboa is ranked #3 for Linares WBC belt.

    Who takes it?

Gamboa easily, as I have said for months. Linares is very ordinary, has a leaky D himself and freezes when under attack. His timing is good, but whats a few shots from an accumulation puncher going to do when Gamboa's landing more?

Gamboa destroys him. Linares has never fought a FAST fighter even.

Alright, so Linares, who has trouble firing off the backfoot and only shows good combination punching ability at a slow pace when allowed to fight his fight, is going to fight the stronger, faster, higher workrate Gamboa. That doesn't bode well for someone who is not only outdone stylistically (as Gamboa will pressure Linares who can't handle pressure), but who is also outdone in his key area, combinations. Gamboa is just far too fast for the slow Linares to cope with, and he can't handle his constant pressure, speed and combination punching, which will out-do his own easily.

Translation: Gamboa gives Linares a severe ass-beating.

I think Gamboa should take it but if he decides to get cocky like he did in the Jimenez fight, Linares will make him pay.

Jiminez has a bigger punch than Linares, he sparked Anchondo easier than Barrios did and Barrios does have a good punch. Linares has accumulation power, not one punch power, hes also quite slow and has a leaky defence when he cannot utilise his footwork to keep proper range.

Gamboa's speed will close distance, his workrate will be going and he will have oppurtunity to land serious punches, as his timing is AWESOME, even better than Linares' perhaps. Linares has shown so far to freeze and reset under pressure, not good vs. Gamboa.

Just give up on this debate, you don't know what you're talking about.

People are forgetting that Gamboa is as strong physically as a good sized LW also and will be fighting a lanky FW here, Gamboa's strength is absurd for his size, on top of the speed. It takes taken close fast and Gamboa pops off shots on Linares dome and body, as Linares is not hard to hit, Larios hit him plenty.

He's just baiting you for response, you shouldn't bother with him, in the end he's winning because you're falling into his little traps full on and giving him what he wants.

    Ignore him.

Dangerous fight for both fighters right now. Gamboa is the better fighter, but he is still not quite fully honed for pro boxing. He makes tons of "arrogant" mistakes, which could prove fatal.

On the other hand, Linares have never faced a fighter with Gamboas natural abilities and skillsets offensively.

I will go on a limp and say that Gamboa thrashes Linares, after being KD'd in round 2, as I think that the Jimenez fight was a wake up call for Gamboa.

    Gamboa-Linares TKO 7 Gamboa.

The featherweight division has been stocked with talent for awhile now and there hasnt been a great match-up there since Pacman/JMM 1.

The fans are entitled to this fight.

why do these guys won't fight just like when barrera, morales, pac and marquez are all mixing it up at 126/130?
