I just finished watching the fight.

My observation

Gamboa is an offensive machine but I think his power is a bit overrated. This guy he fought was koed by Jhonny Gonzales and Gamboa basically threw the kitchen sink at this guy.

I think if he fights the elite Mexicans, they would pretty much lay a beating on him, Im talking about Vasquez or Marquez..at 126

Id love to see him with JML. Even Linares, I now see as ahaving agood chance of beating him

 

No way Gamboa is (or will ever) be ready for Pacquiao. It would be, in my not so humble opinion, a short fight. Both can give. But Pacman can take too...So what? I like the fighter. He faced a semi-Winky guy (without the jab) who did'nt want to fight. Easy win for Yuriorkis. Already waiting for his next fight. Of course, Rico the unicellular guy (the glass chin cell) will ***** the guy. So what?

Why even consider a matchup like this right now? Gamboa needs to be thinking about Linares or Valero type fighters. Pac is thinking about Hatton, Mayweather, and a possible 3rd fight with JMM. 2 different classes of fighters right now at this point in their respective carrers.

 

Pacquiao wins this for many reasons.

 

I don't think you're putting enough thought into it.

With his style he will always go down. He's very unorthodox and many times his balance is way off.

What you are not considering his how he looks when he gets back UP. Having a glass jaw isn't just about losing your feet. Its about your recuperative abilities and what it does to your head/gameplan within the fight. Your definition of a glass jaw is severely over simplistic.

the prob is that he gets knocked down by C & D-level fighters and now he's being matched up against pac, the #1 p4p fighter in the world?!

gamboa beats a very weight-drained pac @126 NOW given that pac's next fight is at 140 and his previous fight was @147. but under any other circumstance, he definitely doesn't beat pac. the guy still has to prove that he is even more than a C-level fighter very much less an elite of this sport like pac is.
