Great question and a case can be made either way. I will Take Mayweather by decision cause Gamboa is easier to hit. Gamboa has more power but there is no evidence to prove that he could t/ko Mayweather

Basicallly what you are saying is you enjoy watching what Gamboa does better than you did watching Floyd.

Gamboa hits harder and perhaps has slightly faster hands. Gamboa keeps his hands far too low and against a fighter like Mayweather at any stage in his carrier that spells trouble.

Less than a year after his 10th fight Mayweather beat Genaro Hernandez, he was bascically the same fighter.

Floyd has the style, Fast hands, very good defence, straight punches, goiod power and good chin, to realy give Gamboa serious trouble.

Gamboa would be very game though and win rounds due to his own speed and abilty to put punches together

Gamboa would get hit flush from the start and would get stopped late on due to the accumulation of punishment. With the fight being even until the 8th or so and then Mayweather taking over.

I agree with you except on one point: there is no evidence to downgrade Gamboas chin. Unproven to a "certain extent"? Yes. But he has never even been wobbled so to say Mayweather would ko him is a stretch IMO. I think he could possibly outbox him and tag him a few times but Gamboa has taken a few bombs now and kept coming forward

I did say stopped, most likly on his feet from what I have seen he has a decent chin.

That's simple not true at all. If you look at the fact that Mayweather was young and green in comparison to what he is now you could argue that, but if you actually watch footage you can't argue that legitimately. Mayweather was always a technical fighter.

This is a realy good question. Mayweather got his first tittle shot in his 17th fight about two years into his pro career. It apears to me that Gamboa is being groomed for a tittle fight around his 15th fight. There 10th fights were in Mayweather's case and will be in Gamnoa's case about a year in to their careers. I do not see any advantages that eaither boxer has after 10 fights. Both have an extroradnary amount of talent and exlent amture backgrounds.
I think this match up could go eaither way.

Actually I bet that Gamboa gets his title shot earlier than his 15th fight. I'm thinking his 12th.

I couldn't pick honestly. Gamboa would be a fighter that Floyd had never ever been in with before. How do you prepare yourself for a fighter as unorthodox and athletic as Gamboa? You can't. It all comes down to how quick Floyd adapts to the style that Gamboa brings. If he does he easily wins but if he gets confused a bit then Gamboa could easily take it.

Ok after watcing abit more of Gamboa and rewatching some of Mayweathers early career the fight could honestly go either way but i'd give the edge to Mayweather, simply because Gamboa mostly has his hands down and Mayweather has the speed, counter punch ability and power to make him pay for his lack of fundermental defence.

Gamboa is only 5'5 and has alot more to learn ... Floyd is the better boxer, alot faster, and is about equal in strength.

Floyd takes him out quickly --
