Just a fantasy match up, this suits the more inexperienced Gamboa. Who would you favour in a special '6 round' match, not for a title, but just for bragging rights if something odd like this was announced ever?:D

Gamboa, as don't find Pac especially crafty, but his pressure and heart and courage against vet fighters has won him his big fights. I mean he's got a nice counter, but I think the last MAB fight showed that he isn't great at adujusting (the JMM fights proved it). I think a younger more hungry MAB fighting the Pac he fought recently would have won, as MAB just didn't have enough to "really" bring it.

Gamboa does have that hunger, and I think him being hungrier than Pac could lead to victory, that is of course if Gamboa's chin can hold up, because you hit Pac he is GOING to fight back, and if you bring it, he is going to bring it right back.. it would be a war of attrition, and I see the younger, hungier Gamboa coming out on top.

Of course, if Gamboa get's chinchecked and pulls a Mike Oliver, it's ovah.

hmm... if you still can call pac 1-D right now, then you should call hatton, juan diaz, ponce de leon, katsidis, valero, etc. 1/2-D. pac is therefore probably 2-D now (if there's such a thing).

pac KOs gamboa within 4 right now. this gamboa kid is sure getting over-hyped nowadays. pac is a certified HOF/ATG and already a 4-weight and 3-division lineal champ. this gamboa kid doesn't even have an ABC belt yet. he is nothing compared to pac now.

6 rounds changes the entire complexion of the fight. If Pac knows he can just go balls to the wall for 6 rounds, I think he'd still win, but it would certainly be a war.

Gamboa would either quit or be a bloddy mess the 4th round!

I would favor Gamboa in both a 6 rounder and a 12 rounder, however I wouldn't be very confident in him winning the 12 rounder right now. If I had to bet my life on the fight and pick one guy, I would choose the more naturally talented fighter with the style advantage. His chin/heart isn't proven yet, but I would be very surprised if he had a weak chin or couldn't handle adversity. Anyone with Gamboa's reflexes, speed, accuracy, and toughness would give Pac huge problems. Having pro experience at the top level is often times overrated by many posters. This isn't a prime Duran we're dealing with, it's a declining Pacquiao at 130 pounds. Sensational talent beats less sensational talent, even if the less sensational fighter has more pro experience.

Pac KO 2. With Pac's stamina and knowing he dont have to go 12, it would be murder. No way Gamboa keeps Pac off him.
