Gamboa vs. Pac in a 6 rounder, right now, who do you favour.

If Roy Jones was born about 20 years later and just made his debut last year, destroying C levels effortlessly, then suddenly he decided to fight Pavlik, would Pavlik's experience at the top level matter all that much?

Or say, if Roy Jones fought Chris Eubank in 1991, who would win? Would Eubank's pro experience at the top level mean more than Jones' superior talent?

huki, you are a good analyst, when you can be bothered to be objective, but quite often these days, and to a greater and greater extent, you let your agendas blind you. It's sad, really...:-(

Not to mention that Gamboa is still a better technical boxer than Pacquiao. I think people are forgetting that part. It's not like Yuri doesn't know how to box. He just needs to build up stamina.

Pac doesn't have much of a power or speed advantage over Yuri like he does against most of his opponents, and if stamina isn't an issue, then it basically comes down to styles. I still think Pac would win because his punches are straighter, but in a short fight, it's a pretty even matchup. Make it 12 rounds and Pac cruises to a UD or gets a late TKO.

Exactly, Huki's point with Jones was spot on. You have a Jones level talent here developing and the only factors that need to be made are stamina, chin questions and others, as in his dimensionality.

Especially if he roasts Jimenez in 5 rounds coming up, Decebal's going to come in here and say Jimenez was inferior to that of Willie Limond, when it's very clear that Jimenez is a top 20 fighter based off of his KO by Anchondo and really close bout with Huerta. NOT a top 10-15, just a lower level top 20 material fighter, in which the bums that Khan has been feeding off of are not anything but domestic cream puffs.

Jimenez is an awesome pick for a 10th fight, because Jimenez is halfway decent.

Gamboa quits in the 1st round, after he realized he can not take Pac's proven combination of speed and power.

What agenda do I have? Give some more examples of this. This is the way I truly feel about the matchup, Gamboa is the greatest prospect I have ever seen since I've started watching boxing closely.

I'm guessing Dawson destroying B level MW Pavlik is one of these examples?

And you didn't answer the Roy Jones questions.

King Gamboa is not going to pull a Charlie Z Morrissey!:bart

Would Henry the 8th do the same under a stress situation? Nah, he'd just have the enemy decapitated.:good

...I blame you for encouraging and leading on poor huki...:verysad

Zelenoffing is the simpler, correct term.

Is it that hard for people to see that even a green (but very experienced amateur and confident, fast-rising pro fighter) Gamboa could give Pac huge problems and could adjust to Pac's offense?

He dislikes your anti-Romanian sentiment I believe and the Dawson nonsense was just pure hatred of Dawson, nobody thinking logically would pick **** Kelly Pavlik over Dawson or anybody decent above that horribly weak MW division.

But Decebal really was rubbed wrong due to him percieving you as anti-Romanian and pro-Slav.

You guys ought to clear it up.

Gamboa is 26 and has huge and wide-randing experience! By that age, and with much less experience, some guys have won and unified world titles...

You call him a prospect! He is! But that's because he hasn't fought anyone yet and looks good and is still unbeaten. But don't call him a prospect because he has only 9 fights to his name...

...even Amir Khan has fought better opposition and he's only 21!

    Oh come on now!

Pac is crude and 1 dimensional, he has great physical gifts such as power, speed and timing however. Do not compare a supernatural Prime Tyson, whom had all of that with incredible level's of skill offensive and defensive, it's not an accurate comparison.

Pac has supernatural type gifts, just stylistically he is crude, flawed and has no multi-dimension, excluding him from the supernatural rating.

Tyson was a blaze, but a well co-ordinated blaze with tremendous skill level and great balance.

Pac's also a blaze, pretty well co-ordinated, but much cruder and lacks a great defence aside from his own offence and he also lacks a serious punch variety and has poor balance.

BUT, his timing, speed and power is a force to be reckoned with, just a 1 dimensional force and when other fighters have style advantages or similiar ability with greater skill, he will be owned badly.

Watch the fights, don't fall into the trap of the legacy.;)

You're making pointless comparisons. Khan? Pac and a prime Tyson shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. And you still didn't answer the Roy Jones questions.
