If Gamboa fights like he did against Rojas, I don't see the results being much different. Rojas is a much more skilled and better fighter than Prescott and has the same reach and height advantages that Prescott would have, and although Prescott punches harder, he's not aggressive and he's not that quick. Gamboa by wide decision, and Prescott is completely overrated around here.
Prescott doesn't have one punch knockout power. He scored his KOs vs. cab drivers back in Colombia, his only stoppage outside of his country (other than one in Panama) was the Khan upset, and we all know Khan has NO punch resisence at all. Humberto Toledo, previously knocked out many times, was hit by numerous clean blows and nothing happened. But Prescott did fairly good on the boxing side and he's more of a LWW physically, so it's an unfair comparation with Gamboa, who is SBW sized FW. How is this a realistic match-up? Valero-Prescott will be an intersting one. Prescott is so much taller, maybe if he works on the jab and the defense he can give Edwin problems, but I don't think Prescott is ready to take on the world elite yet - or if he'll ever be. With that said, I feel both Valero and Prescott has room for improvement, so it should be an intersting one as long as it lasts.
