Who said he fought a load of HOF fighters? You just named the biggest names he fought.

He also beat Tom "Boom Boom" Johnson, Steve Robinson, Manuel Medina, Wilfredo Vazquez, Wayne McCullough, Paul Ingle and Vuyani Bungu who were all solid fighters at the time.

Gamboa hasn't fought anybody so I don't know why this thread has taken that direction because if this is some sort of criteria Gamboa is KO'd in the first round.

At this point of Gamboa's career . . . I'd still favor Hamed.

Hamed who? The Cubans have always beat up on the British fighters! What a joke. Even if Hamed had a tremendous punch, so does Gamboa. Hamed cannot be mentioned in the same sentence as Gamboa who is Olympic Gold Medalist, 4 times Cuban National Champion and World Amateur Champion, something Hamed would have never done if given the opportunity! Boxing is not just a " powerful punch ", is about who is the fastest, the most intelligent, the better technical fighter and with the most ring smarts! The punch surely helps but not always gets you the win. Gamboa against Hamed would have been a very entertaining battle until Gamboa let's the dogs loose on Hamed. Gamboa inside 5 rounds.:nono

Hamed was the undisputed Featherweight champion, he won the wbo, wba, wbc and Ibf titles, that supercedes anything Gamboa achieved over 3 rounds, wearing pillows on his hands and a motorbike helmet!

Excusme Kid Chocolate who has Gamboa ever beat?:huh Darling Jimenez is probably the best guy hes ever beat, and hes maybe a top 20 guy. Naz has gone 10-1-0-8kos against former world champions Vasquez,Johnson,Kelly,Medina,Mccullough,Bungu,Soto,Ingle,Robinson,Alicia with his only Loss to ATG on future HOF Barrera. Ive never been a big Hamed guy but you cant even compare the 2 yet. Naz is one of the biggest featherweight punchers ever.

Gamboa has been dropped multiple times and he's yet to even really fight any1 worth mentioning....and you wanna put him in the ring with a puncher like Hamed?

    Hamed by highlight reel
