Angulo's defense is his sturdy chin. He isn't going to wow you defensively..but damn is he fun to watch.
Tsurkan still geting punches in, Angulo just has the harder and straight shots. Angulo doing a great job with the 1 2. Setting up his punches. Taking advantage of Tsurkan coming forward. Tsurkan still mixing it up, he is getting countered though. Goddamn, Angulo has a beautiful left hook. Throws it upstairs and then just nails it to the body. That punch is going to make a difference. It is sapping Tsurkans energy.
I've seen him stunned a few times before, and he's never faced a real puncher. Tsurkan is a very light puncher, he just has a decent KO percentage because he throws so many punches.
Tsurkans is game. He is still fighting, the left hand for him is still successful. Angulo throwing to the body more. Both guys are pacing themselves a bit.
He seems to have a very very good punch resistance. Even when he gets caught cleanly, he seems to recover quickly. In his last fight before this one he got rocked and recovered quickly. That's almost as valuable as a good chin.
Tsurkan takes punches with his face. Guy has a good chin. Angulo with a big combo to close the round, to the body and face, left right hook hook straight cross. Tsurkan telling him to go the body, go under the "wild" shots. I would call them wild, Angulo throw straight. Angulos corner telling him to jab and keep his defense tighter
Tsurkan actually doing a better job of avoiding shots, just needs to land some of his own. Angulo is beating him this round now, just landing and landing. I think Angulo might be a little arm weary.
