Gamboa would've pulled out of this fight given he was moving up two weight classes as is. Not going to concede anymore weight.

Well, I can see the polls are very different now. Big lead for the Cuban this time, looks like everyone has a completely different view of that fight now.

**** you Rios Haters, Just cause Abril got the better of Rios doesn't mean it will be the same for Gamboa... Styles make fights, At least Rios Fought, won a close decision in a close very close inching close fight, yet Gayboa is out there ducking the biggest fight This sport has to offer, why is Gamboafeathers scared? tell him to sign, tell him to go 50/50 tell him to stop demanding ODST if his fans are so sure Gayboa would win... ****ing Rios Haters...

No need to get so angry compadre. I am not hating on Rios just trying to see where fans now stand after seeing Rios look so bad ( and losing ) to Abril who is 3 times lower than Gamboa.

Everyone knows Gamboa is having major contract and legal issues and that's why we even haven't heard from him at all. No need to get so offensive.

By the way, if you think Rios won then you are one of the most biased fans here. Polls don't lie, 93% of fans across all boxing sites know that Abril clearly took him to school.

If rios comes in without killing himself to make weight then he destroys gamboa but if he is very weak like in abril fight then gamboa wins .

Weak or strong, Gamboa owns him. His lack of skills, speed and ring IQ is obvious now and that spells disaster against P4P Gamboa.

Rios should not be fight or even think about fighting at 135.

No jab, no legs, no head movement, no waist movement, too ssssssslowwwwww...
He will be a punching bag for Gamboa.

La Momia de Rios seria igual de perdido, sino mas, contra Gamboa como con Abril.

Gamboa must really be kicking himself in the arse for not showing up and taking what would of been an easy fight for him. Now he has all kinds of legal troubles, and could suffer a big set back in his career.

At least Rios would have a chance if he's not weakend, if he's healthy and strong he has that punchers chance.

Great Avy Bon Bon  I remember you were sporting this one some time back.

2 different style and also Rios at 135(137) looked horrible. He seemed very flat compared to the Acosta fight in which he kept walking Acosta down and punched non stop. I feel it was the style and weight that beat Rios. I would like to see a rematch at 140 to erase any doubts whether it was weight or just style.

as far as Gamboa-Rios. There is a reason Gamboa ran from this fight. Gamboa facing a healthy Rios at 135 would have been a massacre as Gamboa does not have the defense Abril displayed.
Actually Abril looks really good and would be hell for anyone. He picks up a title in the near future is what I say. How did Prescott beat him again?

I'm not disputing that, dude. Gamboa of course is a much more gifted fighter.

I was alluding more to the styles of the two. Abril just so happened to be very proficient in an area where Rios' main strengths lie, and consequently, he negated those strengths. Gamboa, for all his speed, footwork and athleticism, doesn't appear to have the same defensive astuteness on the inside (where Rios will eventually take you) that Abril does.

That's why I personally feel Rios' performance the other night shouldn't automatically mean he'll have no chance against Gamboa. The dynamics of the fight would be slightly different.

Rios matches up better with Gamboa but just as when they first announced Gamboa vs Rios I pick Gamboa to school him and possibly stop him. Gamboa is an elite level talent, Rios is a top 5-10 in the division type talent. They could fight at middleweight and yuri would still have too much skills.

have to agree with this comment. Acosta was a beast, reminds me of an even bigger and powerful version of Gamboa.

Gamboa has been dropped pleanty of times and gets reckless. he cant ignore a slugfest and i dont think he would be able to handle Rios power. on top of that his shots wont faze Rios.

i still think Gamboa is the more elite fighter P4P wise but he just has no business being @ 135. its like Floyd fighting Froch @ 168 or something. we know Floyd is the superior fighter, but weight and size makes a huge difference and he'll most likely lose because of that.

smart move by Gamboa not taking this fight. **** that, Arum was tryna cash out on him before he left TR. now he will be with #TheMoneyTeam so everything worked out fine :yep

Gamboa had his chance and pussed out. Still waiting to hear his side of the story but he doesn't seem to have one that he is willing to go public with. Has he made a statement yet or is he waiting to blow through his $70K advance?

Typical ESB crap. Over react to the latest fight and forget everything else. Worthless poll as we know Rios can't make 135 and if he did, Glamboa wouldn't show up.
