God had no amatuer career, Gamboa(the prophet) was an amatuer star.

Enoki and Mashaba are legit. Most of us know Litzau I think, but most here don't like him (and he'd get KTFOed against Gamboa). Meza Clay is a good prospect as well. Caballero got the #1 spot by beating the guy who Gamboa beat in his last fight, which explains his high ranking. Chris John is the WBA Champion.

I agree 100% with your previous post. His two biggest issues are dropping his hands and his conditioning. I suspect he's moving along the conditioning quickly, as I'm guessing he'll be fighting 12-rounders by July. As for the hands, I suspect he'll be able to get away with it because his upper body is so quick.

The people who are saying he needs another dozen fights before a title shot either haven't watched him fight or are smoking something powerful. Considering his background and his immediate results, he should be ready for a title shot long before then. Could he beat Pac/JMM/etc now? Probably not because of the conditioning and a general lack of pro experience. But he'd put up a good fight at this point. If you make it an 8 round fight, I think he could beat either of Pac's last 2 opponents.

He is on a hard training regime in LA, CA since mid November. Guess arena promotions is a 100 percent working on his stamina till the end of January. Then he might have his first 10 rounder at the end of February and fight in a title eliminator in June.

In his 10th pro fight he might already fight Chris John/Edwin Valero (November '08)...

John is a tougher fight than Valero IMO.

You could even make a case that Robert Guerrero is a tougher fight than Valero.

I am simply not impressed with Valero. He may have great power....not even sure of that in all honesty, but he has very little if any skill. He makes Margarito look like SRL.

You aren't alone mate, he's nothing but a C- level fighter with a B+ punch and he won't be around for very long.

Now if I could just convince these awful Jorge Linares and Nonito Donaire boosters that both will be nothing more than B levels, then we'll be in business and can all be friends. The problem is that Donaire and Linares fight in a more pleasing, fluid style and everyone can plainly see a sloppy mess like Valero easier than they can let go of those two overrated frauds.

It may be a long couple of months.... I'm really not happy about.:verysad

I like Linares - you can see him clearly developing over the past 3 years...though he is no superwhateverasyoucallit as his punching technique still looks a bit robotic to me (you really can't see because of his nearly perfect timing) but his footwork is the best I've seen at featherweight in a long time...

I don't see where his great timing is, I see him having average timing.

Footwork is good, but head movement is atrocious. He likely is chinny as well.

    Point well made.

Mines was however good a fighter seems to be there is no point puting him in with a guy that he would tear a newasshole too soon. As i am sure you would agree Mijares would annhialte the guys who beat him now.

As someone who obviously knows a great deal about boxing you know that some people step up to early and get beaten by guys who have lower skill sets but more experice.

his amazing skills are not doubt, but it's a bit early to throw him with the elite right away. he's has'nt even gone past 6 rounds if im not mistaken. but as i said before he's ready for a abc strap as early as next summer.

he is young and talented. No need to rush! his time will come!!!! he has the potential and ingredients to make it big in the 130lbs category in the years to come..
