Your comebacks are getting worse than usual, that month in hiding has really severely effected your ability to communicate , I know this forum is the only contact you get with human beings so that month off really hurt you
At this point in the game, it's not about changing his style but about training his mind to think in a different way. It's a thinking man's game and Sr. knows that better than Roach.
In an interview I read with 50 they had worked with Mayweather Sr but Gamboa just kept reverting to his bad habits .
What's his resume? Because last time I checked, Roach has trained Toney, Hopkins, Pacquaio, Cotto...etc...etc. The last thing Gamboa needs to do is fight for lengthy periods on the back foot. He might think he's that type of fighter and he might have been able to get away with that against smaller guys, but if he fights at lightweight, he needs to make adaptations to his style based on his physical attributes relative to his opponent. Like if Floyd didn't duck Paul Williams or if he would have fought Vernon Forrest, you would see the adaptations I'm referring to.
still think tc was to big for him at the end of the day. hopefully gamboa is not set in his ways and can learn and apply new things in the defensive department. one thing he can do is when he gets hit hard is not to drop his hands just to get hit again.
