I was the first one being insulted and aggravated when Gamboa didn't show up to the press conference,I had the honor to meet and talk with Rios and Garcia.I will always appreciate the way they handle the few fans that showed up at the restaurant. I've remained silent about this matter because I was missing lot of info about the whole drama.Im still unaware of most of it and I still believe that Gamboa mishandled his differences with TR and Arena. But now I know more than what I knew 1 wk ago. It's obvious that Gamboa never signed for this fight, this fight has been cooked by Arum and Oner and even if always sound like Gamboa was calling out Rios it was Arena and Top Rank thru their speakers the ones making noises. Finally they said the fight is on after being negotiating with YG, but we never heard a word by the boxer himself . The day of the conference I noticed somebody was absent, Oner, who is always tailgating Gamboa. He knew as well as Arum that Gamboa wasn't coming.Gamboa is Oner last hope for a big payday , Solis is uncertain and Yan didn't fit at the pros.Knowing that Gamboa was ready to leave him,the Turk worked some deal with Arum, sell him against Rios. How do you explain Rios( the one with the big fan base and exciting style)is making way less than Gamboa( the one with a handfull of supporters in Miami) Rios being screwed with money is not anything new,out of the purse of like 4 millions Rios just getting 750? And Gamboa 1.1- 1.2 millions? Strange. Gamboa was apparently being pushed against the wall, either stay with arena and arum or burn in hell,he is fighting his fight. Some boxers like De Marco has shown respect for Gamboa standing for himself, I doubt he's scared of Rios, but he sure doesn't want to end up like Rios being extorsionated by the big boss. I read a lot of hate about Gamboa, most coming from people that don't surprise me,others that still are unaware of the whole story.Whatever Gamboa has done wrong he will know how to fix it in the ring.He doesn't fight with a keyboard ,you can ask Salido himself.
What does Salido have to do with a fight against Rios? Ya'll Gamboa fans feel threatened by a brave fighter?

People go by what the media tells them, plain and simple. And the media has become increasingly more likely to print stories without checking sources. Look how many media outlets reported that Khan was reinstated as WBA champ without verifying the information first.
Yeah I did read on what DeMarco had to say on Gamboa, and did make some sense. I'm just waiting to hear something from Gamboa, Arum, and Oner before making anymore comments on this matter...
Gamboa could have spoke earlier instead of waiting till the last second, I really lost a lot of respect for him for this.
I've heard that the fight is back on, but I don't know for sure. That said, I'm not gonna crucify him yet. I just wanna know the whole story and see what he does next. Anyone with a functioning brain stem knows there's more to this than "****ING CUBAN COWARD YOU JUST SCARED OF RIOS SWIM BACK TO CUBA ***** RAEG!!!
If that was the case, then I don't understand why Gamboa didn't speak out earlier. Back when the fight was being rumoured, to when it was 'officially' announced, to announcing dates/venues to the press conferences, and to them actually taking place.....where the hell was Gamboa to say, "Whoa, hold on. What are you guys talking about? I've not signed the contract!"
Dont make excuses Cubano. Do you think someone as greedy as Arum would spend the money on 2 press conferences if there had been no agreement reached? I am not saying on paper as alot of times fighters dont even sign off on the paperwork from the get go. alot of times it is done in the training camp. I wondered why this fight was even being made in the first place but Gamboa is the one who was asking for it.
Arum/Öner is a match made in hell, and you lost respect for Gamboa for standing up to them? :blood He waited for the contract till the last second too, it never came. Why attend a press conference for a fight that isn't finalized?
