Don't think so. Lopez is not coldblooded boxer, he started to play Mtangva's game and nearly lost. If Gamboa started to rumble with such crasy mofo it would be same if not worse.

gamboa isnt gonna fight him like mtwaga, i think gamboa will lose if his does. he will rush in with lighing speed throw 6 punch combo and run out. juama will just not be able to handle the speed, and more importantly the POWER:smoke

I was actually hesitant to say who would beat who in this potential matchup but now my mind is made up....

Gamboa is looking fast against D level fighters. Say that when he faces top C to B competition. Right now it isn't a FACT. Its just hope.

Its not really about the skill, but the relentlessness.

Gamboa wouldnt have ate the shots Mtagwa ate and still manage to go forward and still attack. Lopez landed 100 more punches. A guy like Mtagwa is just freaky and is a tough match up for anyone, he's the Clottely of the featherweights.

Also if it wasn't for Lopez's left hook...who knows how more free Roger would of been. Lopez's left hook bailed him out ALOT and put the red light on this guy. Gamboa cannot take that many left hook's from an elite fighter like Juanma in a fight at pace...be realistic here.

Yeah there would probably be a lot less physical pressure from Gamboa but if Gamboa has Lopes hurt like he was tonight do you believe Juan would survive? not a chance in hell imo.

Gamboa is too smart. He would of not taken a beating like that. He would of stayed on the outside, and knock him out.

and i agree man, i am a real person. i know that gamboa cannot take those shots. but he wont!! he speed is too superior, lopez wont be able to find him all night. and the comment you made bout his speed, lets be real, he will look fast against a F, D, C, B, A fighter. he just is fast. not questions asked. he is the fastest boxer i have seen in a long time

Really? How has Gamboa looked in his previous fights? Stellar? Hell no if anything Gamboa is the most beatable prospect right now. Don't get me wrong I like Gamboa, but Gamboa will get KTFO against Juanma.

here we go, got a puerto rican in denial. look at gamboa last two fights. very decipline. not to sloppy. he has matured. he has 15 fights. juanma looks like a fuking sloppy joe out there and its his 27th pro fight.

Not in denial. Juanma didn't look good tonight I agree but he showed intangibles (stuff you dont get in training camp i.e. chin, heart, etc) he didn't use all his skills but he didn't lose the fight either. I'm 100% sure Juanma will comeback for his next fight to make a statement. I like Gamboa btw, he looked good tonight but to compare his last two fight against JML's last two fights wouldn't be fair because the opponents had difficult styles and/or chin, tough SOB's, etc.
