Hey brickhaus, I thought his date was the 24th? And I'm pretty sure its at The Palms in Las Vegas too. I'd be happy with a fight against Salido, probably Solis too, but I don't know why he would leave the super featherweight division since he has his own belt. Salido is still a unifying fight, just like fighting Elio Rojas.

I certainly won't accuse him of that. You've gotta believe that he's confident enough in his own abilities to beat a guy like Caballero. You problem for me is Arum, particularly as he likes to keep it in house and he's got a prospective JuanMa/Gamboa clash.

That's the reason I wasn't entirely satisfied when he signed with Top Rank, especially that his place is to be the guy JuanMa will win his superfight against, not what Gamboa wants to be: fighting Cab, Lopez, John etc. right now, even if he's risking multiple losses in the process.

Gamboa is a fighting machine, don't put him into energy saving mode.

Im assuming you dont know that Juanma and Gamboa are both promoted by top rank !!!! , Chris John punished Juarez for 24 rounds and Juarez was very lucky to get a draw in there 1st fight IMO .

Gamboa beats Caballero and Juanma and imo a fight with Juanma is not even competetive , for me Caba Juanma is a pick em , i like Caba marginally .

BTW i beleive John outpoints Juanma fairly easily and i think John Gamboa is a real pick em .

    Spot on :good

I dont think old Bobby has a lot to worry about when feeding Gamboa to the lions , the man is a beast he stops all of them barring John IMO !!!!

Agreed , not to mention way way superior speed , power , agility , size , strength , athleticism and so on .

The only 2 things Juanma has got going for him in this fight is that he's a south paw and his ring craft , other than that Gamboa has all the angles covered IMHO :deal

I think Cabalero would have a puncher's chance against Gambao.
But I do see Gambao winning yes.

mtgwa is a bum, he's a journeyman that gave juanma troubles but juanma was weight drained acording to him.. and he proved himself after that and previous to that fight so we can give him the benefit of the doubt.. who has gamboa fought that's any good

Darling Jimenez is a genuinely underrated opponent of his. The Dominican sparked out once top prospect Mike Anchondo and under right management could've won a belt at least for a short period. He only lost debated decisions before Yuri and would give the current SFW champs (Uchiyama, Martinez, Tajbert) a very tough fight, if not a loss. JuanMa and John would most likely win fairly wide, but hard to tell how'd they fair at 130 vs. a natural 135er. Gamboa didn't have an easy time but still won about 9 rounds to 1. Jose Rojas is also a good name on the resume, a bit over the hill, but still only lost to John in the past 8 years and ended Caballero's unbeaten run in that period. Other than them, Gamboa fought a bunch of solid names right from his debut and the jury is out on Jonathan Barros, who needs another top fight to properly judge him.

So your theory of Gamboa fighting bums is a total idiocy. If he fights Elio Rojas, he'll have the best name on his and JuanMa's combined resume and Salido and Solis aren't bums either, they are called world champions. :yep
