As far as i'm concerned he just needs to respect his opponents more from now on, since they will now be world class.

With a little more discipline, he'll be a successful prizefighter.

Well... since a lot of his critics say that Gamboa will be exposed on the contender level, when he'll fight the first former world title challenger ( = June 27, Jose Rojas), assuming he will be a world champion knocking people out one after another only to lose to one of the best P4P-ers in a huge unification fight and not able to bounce back only because a serious shoulder injury ... or dominating a division and losing only to HOF-ers in his prime - that puts you into the group of those who definitely overrate Gamboa, according to many... :good

Now Gamboa is a hype job because his hype way exceeds this true capability. He will likely win a title but will loose as soon as he steps in with a guy that can match his speed and time him. Hell he got time and caught clean by a slow B level fighter who threw only 1 punch at a time the whole fight.
