i guess this is how hungry some of the fans are for someone to change how boxing is today. They get wet at the thought of having a new prospect.

If Gamboa losses anytime, they'd go "aww he wasnt able to handle the hype.."

That's because that fight was many people's first real exposure to Gamboa. If you never saw Gamboa fight before and only read about all the hype about him on this board, it's easy to see why you would have a negative opinion about the guy after that fight. I've seen people on this board **** on Dirrell's performance after he completely destroyed Hanshaw.

I apologized earlier at anther thread. The thread where it state what is the difference between a hype and a troll. Jeez, my computer is not fast enough to respond to these threads, but your right.

 

I think after his stunning display against Jimenez on HBO, this kid can't be ignored any longer. He is the total package. Speed, precision, footwork, and ungodly power. You simply cannot ask for anything more.

He's fighting at Super featherweight now, but it has become clear no no one under the Middleweight limit has a prayer against him. He may look small, but he in fact walks around at 180 lbs, sometimes even 185.

He's only 10-0, and I honestly believe he would blow away Pac, Nate Campbell, Casa, Hatton, and PBF with ease. He's just too much.

A Kelly Pavlik fight would put him on the main stage, the way he deserves. He would easily become the lineal 160lb champ at 11-0, as Pavlik leaves himself open too much, and can't match his speed or toughness.

Gamboa would then be in a postiton to move to 168 and challenege Calzaghe. Calzaghe would come to Cuba to fight Gamboa, getting a career high payday, as well as his 1st loss. Those slaps are nothing compared to the bombs Gamboa will bring.

Being the undisputed 160 and 168lb champ at 12-0 would be unprecendented. At this point, there would be no real comp for him at those weights. He would need to move to 175 for a big name, and also for a real stern test at the higher weights.

That's why a fight with Bernard Hopkins would really show where he is at. Hopkins defensive abilites would provide a stern test for the young champ. In the end though, Gamboa's power would be lethal at 175, and he becomes the 1st man to stop BHOP.

While this is all happening the heavyweight division finally cleans itself up, with WALD more than likely the last champ standing. He will have no one else to fight in the division, after beating Peter, Chagaev, and Haye.

He would have to look to the lower weights for a big fight. And in Gamboa, he would find the biggest fight that can be made.

Gamboa stepping up to face WALD is the type of super fight one can retire on. To come from 126 all the way to Heavyweight to challenge the undisputed champ? It would make him more than a legend, but truly a god.

He would of course have to hire Mackie Shilestone to build him up to about 205lbs. His would retain his speed, and his power would be devestating. There is no way WALD would last more than 3 rds. If he could not handle Corrie Sanders, how will he handle the ferocious power and grace of Gamboa?

Mark my words: By early 2010, Gamboa will be the undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world, and his name will stand above Jack Johnson, Braddock, Joe Louis, Dempsey, Ali, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield, Marciano, and Lewis.

Nah, check Cardstars ' G-A-M-B-O-A ' where we discussed his haircut, sexual appeal to women and flawless existence as an emeritus British monarch. That was the last comedic one, the rest are just looking for the same attention that I get for making over-hyping funny threads, lame.

 

Yeah, I am the master of this style of hyping, the others aren't even serving a purpose, just trying to capitalise on the fact that posters found some of the early threads funny.

In the rematch, when Gamboa comes into the fight cornerless, he takes Tyson into the championship rounds, wears him down with his physical strength in the clinches, then stops him with an uppercut similar to the one that ended the Kebede fight. In the interview, Gamboa states that the only reason he took a beating from Tyson for the first 10 rounds was because he wanted to further prove his chin and toughness, plus his ability to beat Tyson at his own game. He also states that a rubber match must be made, honoring Mike's request. In the third match, Gamboa takes Tyson out in one with a liver punch.
