Now that it is confirmed a snapped tendon and not a shoe or minor injury thing, it really does make that performance look god awful. It will be interesting to see who he gets in with next, but I think he will still be brought along slowly.

IMO a big part of him looking as bad as he did was that I feel like he believed his own hype and believed Gamboa was 100% shot. Elite fighters never do that so it already shows that this kid will never get near a Mayweather level. (But honestly less than 1% do) He can still be a high level fighter but he needs to get humble and work.

 

Yes he did hes 0-1-1 against canelo and arguably lost to chenko who gave him a savage beating.

Actually he should have quit when his tendon tore. He didn't prove anything by fighting except that he could take a whoopin while hurt. Did he really think that Tank was gonna have mercy on him or did he realize that he had a built in excuse for the whooping he got. I think that he would have had a better shot at a rematch because he had a legitimate reason to stop. Why go into a fight which he most likely was gonna lose anyway and not be 100%. That's stupid. He must have needed the money. He didn't look like no warrior to me. He looked like a drunk punching bag. No matter if the fight went 12, he was getting rocked and dropped throughout the fight and he wasn't getting hit on the foot. The only thing he proved is that he has a decent chin and that didn't hold up in the end.
