What with the news that he feels he is done with the featherweight division and the whole wanting to fight pac. I was wondering what his recent in ring weights have been? I know he's fought at super feather before, and as unlikely as the pac fight would be i wonder how their weights would match up.
he looked heavy and not as slick on his feet as in previous fights. i think he was dis interested and ****ing around a lot. probably anxious for bigger fights, which he should be.
138 is pretty good at 28-29 I can see him moving up to 135 definitely, and 140 would be a stretch but the future is always there.
Cheers guys. Yeah i assumed it'd be nearish the lightweight limit. To be honest with his height, or lack of it. I don't see him making waves above lightweight. Though even then i don't think he'd be lineal champ, especially if Rios is around there still. And yeah definately no chance of a Pac fight.
3-4 fights ago he went in the ring with 140lb.. this is the higher i remember him coming in at 126. when he was at 130, he used to come with 140 more often if i remember well
He feels theres no big fights at 126 time to move up then. Maybe he can fight Juanma at 130 since Juanma wanted to move up also. 135 I think Gamboa maybe too small, but if hes great as they say he is then full speed ahead. Gamboa-Rios would be classic. Gamboa could fight Linares, Soto, Rios, Peterson, Acosta, Broner, Caballero, Katsidis, Mitchell, etc I think that absurd myth started on one of these threads would get busted pretty bad.
Gamboa has always been around 140 pounds at fight time. I can easily see him fighting at 140lbs and wiping out the competition too ... :good
