Hopefully not. Although im pretty sure EVERYONE is at least telling him to keep his hands up. I haven't seen anyone say that its great and he should leave them down

Something like that isn't something being told can fix, he needs to do rounds upon rounds upon rounds of sparring with some sort of punishment if his hands drop.

I hope he improves it, but I think the other thing against him is his height. He's already struggling to make weight from the reports we read, he's got no business at 130-135 being 5'5.

Of course I think he should clear out 126 first, but the guy is strong as hell and surely can handle the boys at 130 after he's done at 126 imo

How much longer can he stay at 126 if he's already struggling with weight? Considering he'll also start having greater distances between fights as the fighters he face become more talented, how long can he sustain 126? He's not getting any younger.

135 is going to be a tough division for him. Trouble is, that's where all the money is going.

The more I think about it, the more I think the key isn't going to be teaching to keep his hands up, it's going to be teaching him where not to be with his hands down, namely while throwing combos at short distance. He might be just quick enough to get away with that, even if it is a ticking time bomb.

I highly doubt he Gamboa could consistantly fight at 126. He was chisled against Jimenez and still came in weighing 140 lbs.
