that was his main asset. now you can clearly see the mistakes he makes, when as before his speed would make up for his lack of polish. those flurry or combos he would throw were damn sloppy.

he needs to find his speed again or forget about reaching top level

He was rusty, don't jump the gun because of a lackluster performance.

He needs to stop getting lazy with his guard, change the range quicker, and keep each hand up when throwing with the other. If he does that, he's likely unstoppable at the weight. Against Solis, he looked like he came in motivated and prepared, was very disciplined, and was hardly touched as he handed out knockdowns right and left. Just remember that Gamboa has beaten better fighters than Farenas and looked better.

Yes he has no defense. None. He didn't dodge, block, or parry a single punch. Never bent his waist, didn't avoid a single punch. It is non-existent. He is an anomaly.

He was out for 15 months, came back at a heavier division than he was fighting at previously and won a widen unanimous decision over a solid fighter.

    ....am I missing something?

The win was definitely good. He just needs a different approach to boxing if his speed is gone. the showboating and admiring his work after each flurry is not going to work in this current state. Trading blows carelessly will not work if his speed has diminished
