There has been talk that the main sparring partner for Michael Katsidis in his upcoming fight against Joel Casamayor, Thai former WBA Super Featherweight Champ Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai(52-3-1 41ko) will face hard hitting Aussie based Filipino Ranee Ganoy(24-10-2 20ko) in March in Brisbane. If this is to come off, a win to Ganoy here would surely put him high in the IBF & probably a few other alphabet organizations rankings. Tough selection of opponent. Any thoughts?? I still feel Ganoy can win this fight by KO. Sor Nanthachai is old at 37.
i agree... Nanthachai has a dodgy chin and Ganoy has the pop to exploit it. Still; not an easy fight. I saw Nanthachai fight Steve Forbes in 2004 and he looked like quite a tricky opponent - he moves well and has a good jab
if ganoy hits him its goodnight such is his power, if he lands flush, however he can be outboxed very easily so i hope team bohol are working a way to get him boxing better.....
Hi Kegsy do you have direct contact with Jeff or Angelo or do you go by what you read or hear from others? Ganoy is good and will pull this fight off in March :bbb . I would love to be there to watch the fight but am unsure if I will still be writing for boxing action this year :verysad
I have some contacts that do get direct info from them. Should a wicked match, with Ganoy coming out with a KO.:deal
thats great i think fenech will help ganoy improve his work rate, and tell him to stick on his opponents which he will need to do.....
I heard from a few sources Brian mate. How u guys been going lately at Red Corner?? Putting on some great shows i must add mate.:good
The Filos don't think much of RG. He loss to BPac. And Fenech been saying "Ganoy will shock the Pacman if they fight". The Pinoys don't think much of Ranee TBH.I saw Ganoy jogging at Green Valley. He loss mostly by KO in Pinas. And loss a few decision in Thailand. Yodasanan a good fighter in his prime. I reckon it will not be an easy one for the KO KID. based on what I have seen from the Thai. But the Thai is old so Ganoy can get this old version of a once a good fighter out of his prime.. :deal
Fair enough Pipo, but i wonder how dedicated & how much weeks notice Ganoy was given, when taking all these fights years ago. These days he is a full time boxer & way better managed. I reckon he beats Bobby Pacquiao if they fight now.:deal
Both these guys learnt on the go as pros.Very little amateur experience. From the same area in P.I. Similar records.BPac record is decieving. When he is on his game he can suprise people but on an Okay night he looks like a sad version of his brother.BPac been fighting alot of toughe Latinos (Mexicans) boxers than Ranee Ganoy.Don't be suprise if Bobby wins. If BPac was in Australia he would suprise you mate.He can actually hit hard. This fight won't go the distance bobby is a slugger. He doesn't Box.Chin is sus and tends to fade because they say he's lazy in the Gym.So expect a toe-to-toe action.. Should be a good one if this happens... :thumbsup
Hell yeah would be an awesome undercard match for a Pac-man card. I reckon Ranee is the bigger guy as well thats why i leant for him to win by KO, having fought much of his career at Junior Welterweight. Would be fireworks no doubt.
Pac-man's fighting Marquez in March. Fenech should see if Ganoy can get a shot at his conquerer. BoB Pacquiao bwahahahaha.. Hopefully. Revenge... :bbb
