Sonow this is apparently confirmed for the 3rd of July. all you people saying kessler was fighting for it and so on can eliminate these two and this belt for his next fight.

who wins? ive never heard of or seen these two.

yea this is really gay. I thought Kessler would move up to LHW and take on one of these guys (Garay or Barashian) for the belt seeing as how the WBA seems to love Kessler and the LHW division has alot of big names.

Instead Kessler is taking on a similar no-namer Dimitri Sartison for the WBA belt at 168. A bad move. Kessler is quickly turning into a joke. I thought he was a very good fighter but more and more i'm thinking that i might have been wrong. We'll see in his next true test.

Anyways i've never heard of either of these 3 guys (Garay, Barashian, and Sartison) so maybe you can fill us in on their important accomplishments.

Well, at least Braehmer hasn't been promoted over all the others.

i know just as ittle about these two as you my friend. i was hoping someone else would fill me in, and i also wanted to prove the people wrong who said kessler was moving to 175 to fight for this belt.

i must admit i am a little dissapointed in kessler as he did not fight miranda or a big US name to market himself out there. instead of going into recluse in denmark, undoing all his good work so far.

Garay is a pretty decent fighter, I think he would be popular in the States with his style.

I only saw Barashian against Ulrich. He looked pretty solid but nothing special, good body shots to end it.
This probably will be a good hard fight actually cause both look hard as, to bad nobody cares.

Garay reminds a little bit of Firat Arslan. He is a brawler with a good chin ,but lacks firepower. He had two pretty close and entertaining fights with reigning light heavy champ Zsolt Erdei. He also had an extremely boring and lame encounter with hard-hitting Romanian Lakatus a couple of years ago.As fas as I can remember the Romanian hurt the Argie quite badly in round 10(?) ,but was stopped by a lucky haymaker in round 11(?).

Barashian? He knocked supermiddle fringe contender Robert Stieglitz down in their encounter a few years ago,but lost a close point decision to him.Barashian was a former kickbox champ. He has pop in his fists, can take a good punch, but isnt the most talented fighter out there.
In his outing to a ring he showed a quite convincing performance against hard-hitting German contender Thomas Ullrich knocking him out in round 7 (?) of their encounter. In that fight he proved that he has a good chin as he had to take quite a lot of very good shots.

Garay vs Barashian could really go either way! My pick is as good as yours!

Sartison? Untested young fighter -had a decent amateur career-slick-fast-versatile-excellent punch accuracy-good counterboxer-quite small for a supermiddle-lack of firepower.

    Kessler will murder him IMO.

my guess having watched both fighters is that you are wrong.

there styles will gell and both are entertaing.

garay is an in your face fighter/lets his hands go non stop /is prepared to take one to give a punch.

quite fast hands/good conditioning/good chin/decent skill, v a fighter in barashian who is similar give a punch to take a punch.

i think if the ref lets them fight this will be a war.

IMO garays faster hands/tighter shorter punches should mean he will land the cleaner/scoring shots .

barashian IMO will need to fight fire with fire and wear garay down and stop him late or hurt him and make him fight more caustiously.

i think a close fight something like 116-113 to garay and it will be an all action, slugfest.

unfortuanatley the fight is taking place in argentina , so i doubt i can watch it, but i have done the round by round on the 2 garay fights v erdei on esb and both were by far the most entertaining erdeii fights by a mile with garayi making the fights exciting both times.

    not easy to do .

if he can make a erdie fight into entertainment then barashian should be bombs away.
