Garcia and Mathysse looked equals in there

Really enjoyed the fight... I felt Danny won. Low blow point should have been taken earlier IMO.

 

Oh, you won't hear any argument from me that the fight would've been different if Lucas had had his full vision. (I'm not saying he definitely would have won) I'm just saying that Danny ate punches that I had previously thought he wouldn't be able to handle.

 

Garcia deserves respect, I did get the feeling before the eye closed though that Matthysse was starting to come on strong, it definitely effected his performance but that's not Garcia's fault, the low blows and clinching were a bit much but they both showed tremendous chins and heart.

Would love a rematch.

 

I still think Matthysse is the better fighter of the two If you don't count the bogus KD in the 11th when he was tangled in the ropes then the scoring gets real interesteing and also factor in that Matthysse only has one eye even more impressive

I find it funny that guys still don't want to give Danny his due. Danny proved to have a good chin long before this fight. He already proved he could box. ****in' ESB. Guys can't pull their heads out of their asses and give Danny his just due.

 

But he did go down!!!

 

I thought Danny was sensational at times. His boxing was far superior. He boxed Matthysse eye shut. It's not his fault he was landing on in. Matthysse caught him twice flush and Garcia held on well. In fact didn't hang on fired back with his own

I don't call a KD legit when half your body and feet are tangled up at the same time :deal

 

Would love to see a rematch. As they are well matched. It couldve like Michael Carbahal and Chiquita Gonzalez trilogy.

It was competitive and the right fighter won. I did root for Matthysse but there's no denying that Garcia was just that little bit better to edge it. Fair play to both, they're clearly legit fighters and will have a reasonabely successful future.

 

How do they look like equals when Lucas is getting his azz whooped?

 

You can take my comments however you likel Before the fight, everyone on here talked about how Mathysse was gonna kill Danny. Only myself, Snakefist and a few others said that Danny could beat him. Now that Garcia did, here come the excuses. If you aren't being a whiny *****, then I'm not talking about you.

 

I call it a KD when you take shots to your chin and fall. I think that's what happened.
