Broner beat by a 135 fighter.
Thats going to take a big hit on his confidence and bravado imo

Broner's done in my opinion unless he changes a few things. Fighters know that if they go in with a high workrate, they can out score him. He simply doesn't throw enough shots. Garcia didn't bother loading up last night and was content with winning the rounds.

It's a shame cos Broner's class but he's just going through the motions and picking up the paydays.

SKY pundits were acting like Garcia was the second coming of Christ!!!!

i was not over impressed to be honest ,Crawford would smash him up and Linares give him a nightmare imo.

    Broner should retire now tbh

Not dedicated enough for one thing, part time fighter, and he gets beat when he steps up

In all honesty the whole event turned into abit of a turdfest.

As for Broner, he was never really that good. He struggled to beat Malignaggi which says it all really.

I like Garcia brilliant fighter (not that he needed or did show it last night) but he needs to go back down to 135lb.

Garcia vs Zlaticinan was probably the performance of the year, not sure how you can't be impressed with Mikey. The guy's in his 4th division now.

I was actually surprised by the amount of people who were talking about Broner again this week, especially surprised by the UK folk here. He didn't even beat Malignaggi, he only got the win cause he was a hyperbole machine at that time. He's one of the most overrated hyped fighters in history.

    This.

It was an excellent display of fighting by Garcia. He was fighting the bigger man. His distance, timing and shot selection was impeccable. I don't see Linares or Crawford having an easy night with him. I agree he needs to move down a weight though, he couldn't put a dent in Broner.

Macklin & Barker must have been under strict instruction during the Charlo fight not to mention BJS name. Think they spoke about everyone in that division bar him.

Solid performance from Garcia and hopefully the last we see of Broner.

Im noticing that a lot more alately.
If your a fighter over at BT, the sky pundits are hardly giving them a mention.
They will talk about other fighters in the division but not the ones that will be fighting on BT.

Yeah, I noticed that too. They fall for the Sky bias a little but generally speaking I quite enjoy those two alongside Clarke. Certainly compared to the days of Halling anyway

To be fair Eddie Hearn did say when he was interviewed before the fight that he had spoken to Billy Joe Saunders about it.

But yeah it's quite obvious the pundits and commentators are always towing the line. It's most obvious to see in Johnny Nelson. Years ago he he used to be great fun to listen to and seemed to speak his mind. Now he just pushes whatever the Sky agenda happens to be at the time.

Suppose Hearn is at a different level so can say what he wants. The likes of Macklin and Barker just want to keep their cushy jobs and the Sky pay cheques. There must be a long, long queue of ex-pros who would love to have their jobs.
