Didn't read the contract. If true that makes a difference and explains why the early tests came back positive but not the later.

He says Morales had no idea there was a drug testing protocol involved and the next time around they are going to make it clear to their opponent that USADA will be testing them.

 

I would hope so but I don't know if we will ever get to the truth of the matter. The problem is you can fit a very logical scenario to fit that criteria which is exactly what Angel Garcia may have done.

b. Didn't know that VADA would do CIR testing/didn't even know what CIR testing was.
c. Thought the **** had cycled but miscalculated since his next test was clean.

Well, even if this is true and Morales took the drug on purpose he didn't seem to gain any advantage. He tried to take a shortcut instead of working the weight off and keeping it off between fights. It was less dangerous than trying to cut a massive amount of water weight the last few days to try and come into the ring the bigger man. He simply didn't have the hunger and the work ethic anymore to be a top level fighter. He should have known if he needed artificial help like this that his time was up.
