I dont understand why so many people give Garcia a slim chance to win???

Listen I like Matthysse alot! Has decent footwork, usually keeps his hands up and has devasting Power! But people saying Garcia has no chance at all surprises me like crazy!!

From what I seen, the only reason people are picking Matthysse is because of his power. nobody thinks its because of speed, footwork, defense, nothing like that (which all comes to play in a fight) so How can people say Garcia doesnt have a chance?? I think garcia is faster, more accurate, better body puncher, better defense. I see him do everything better, he just doenst have as much power as Lucas.

Another thing I see nobody picking is Garcia to win by KO! I dont think his power is great but its preety close. that left hook is BAD ASS!! If u think about it, would Garcia be the biggest puncher Matthysse has ever faced??I think so, so why not this theory?? Because Garcia is gonna get KO in a couple rounds that Mathysse doesnt have to worry about it?

I've seen so many people that had more power lose because thats all they really had. From Pavilk against Hopkins, Tyson against Holyfield and u can name so many fights.

I think they both have a great chance to win. I dont know how it goes 12 rounds. i think they can both KO each other. Also no way Garcia doesnt take the fight. The way Lucas's hype went up after that Peterson KO, it would be his biggest payday so far and Garcia can blow up for sure with a win.

Thats what i think. Not saying Garcia is gonna win but to say he has no chance or is going to look stuip or run scared is ridiculous. for someone to lose a close decision to Judah, who Garcia just beat the brakes off, now somehow Garcia has no chance at all?? not buying it folks

    Because check the resume's...

    and Lucas is a beast

    Lucas by KO

"herp derp Garcia has a badass left hook" - So what? How many times did he land it on Judah? 0 times. Matthysse's boxing skills keep him safe from it... and even if he gets hit with it Lucas will probaly be A-ok.

"I've seen so many people that had more power lose because thats all they really had. From Pavilk against Hopkins, Tyson against Holyfield and u can name so many fights" - Lucas has boxing skills.. not just power.. Outboxed and hurt Alexander and Judah... ol' man Judah gave Garcia one of his 'hardest fights'.

Garcia's style means he has the best chance to stay in there longest with him... excluding soon to retire Marquez.

Garcia lasts 4-5 rounds before his face starts to melt and his dad starts to cry.

"I think garcia is faster, more accurate, better body puncher, better defense"

    Garcia is slow as ****
Accuracy is ok, but SLOW workrate

Better body puncher? get the fck out of here

Better defence? - not really, he is a counterpuncher, but no Mayweather...

Don't worry we'll see the machine do his demolition job come september... if not Garcia has ducked and ran into hiding.

Judah beat Lucas so whhy are you bringing up him winning a few rounds against Garcia?? so what??

Judah is a southpaw and worked on taking away Garcia's left hook, thats what Veterans do. So Garcia hit him with the right and dropped him.

Resume's? How does that say Lucas is gonna win :huh:huh

U say if Lucas gets hit he'll probably be A ok but we just dont know that do we? So u agree that Garcia is the biggest puncher Lucas has ever faced right? Thats why its a very intresting fight. I know Lucas is a beast but Garica is damn good and he wont back down. Instant classic in my book

    "Instant classic"

Nah... Everyone will just wake up and realise Peterson, Khan and Garcia have been hiding on their pedestals ignoring Matthysse's existance...

"So u agree that Garcia is the biggest puncher Lucas has ever faced right?" - No the hardest puncher Lucas has faced is probaly some 180 pound Argentinian or world champ who he spars with since they are the only people who can take his punches... lol. (excluding Rios the human punchbag)

Nobody has been ignoring him. Devon and Judah didnt. With his last fight though, hes really reconzied now. and if he can beat Garcia he will really blow up!

I dont see how this is a classic unless soembody gets KO in the first 3 rounds. if not then it will be the FOY for sure!! To very skilled fighters with power throwing down. I think both fighters get dropped. When Lucas gets knockdown lots of people will be surprised, i wont. I've seen Garcia drop i think 10 opponets in a row, cant remeber when i saw a fight that garcia didnt knockdown somebody.

Of course when Lucas drops Garica (which i think happens too) nobody will be surprised about that. Man I cant wait!!

Stop right there, Judah didn't win ****. Everyone knows Judah lost to Lucas. Judah got the decision thanks to name value.

Yes i thought Lucas won. but for someone to say Judah worked Garcia preety good then how can they say that when Matthysse offcially lost to Judah?? Thats the only reason i said that. someone said Judah gave Garcia his toughest fight but how does that mean Matthysse gonna beat Garcia?? he won like the last couple rounds, wow

Garcia is terrible with the little boxing skills he has. I would argue that Matthysse is a way better boxer than Garcia. Garcia uses virtually no head movement and he's slow as all hell.

Peterson would've given Matthysse more trouble because Peterson knows how to adjust. Matthysse's power was just too much.

In terms of Garcia, the kid doesn't have a plan "B" when fights don't go his way. When he couldn't go in for the kill against Judah, he collapsed and lost all three of the last rounds. I don't see how everyone saw Garcia looking good after the Judah fight. He looked like the same dude who went life and death against the shot to **** Erik Morales.

I see Garcia having good boxing skills. He has good footwork, good defense, good accuract. im not sure what your talking about, and hes not slow as hell.

Judah did win the last few rounds but thats a shabby veteran does. he adjusted, didnt gvie up and gave a little something to the youngster. dont see that as a band thing for Garcia at all, Judah is an OG. Tarvis Cloud doenst suck because he lost to an way older Hopkins, Hopkins just knows the game, thats all.

That first Morales fight was close but Morales ahd just beat the living crap out of Maidana with one eye. so he still had something in him. he wasnt in his prime, but he sure wasnt a cupcake.

so all those things u said, doesnt mean Matthysse can win the fight. I could say the same thing. How can Lucas beat garcia when he lost to Judah?? I dont think he did but you see what im saying. your bringing up 3 rounds that Garcia lost to a veteran of the game but what if I tell you Lucas loist 5 rounds to Judah?? Now what?? preety weak argument right??

and im not sure why u say Garcia doesnt have a plan B. has he had to use a plan B ever?? When he had to dig deep he won the championship rounds against Morales, that showed me something. and u can also say he does have a plan B because Judah took away his left hook so he dropped Judah with the right. sounds like a plan B right?

I haven't seen anything, expect a left hook on a completely open Khan, that looks better than average from Garcia. I rate matthysse better in every category.

Morales had a last hurrah against Maidana, doesn't mean he wasn't shot to ****. As he looked like complete **** againts Cano, and was having bad weight problems (being several weight divisions above his prime weight).

A punchers chance at best. I give an edge to mattysse in every facet of the game. Mattysse a greatest attribute is his timing, offensively and defensively.

What Garcia has against Matthyse is good timing. I can see Matthyse coming in for some good combinations and getting tagged with some solid counters, however I believe that Matthyse still overwhelms Danny to a fifth round TKO.

Garcia is a good boxer, I just think that at this point in their careers Matthyse has more skill, and operates at a higher level as a result of his experiences in the ring.
