    I agree with this too.
A good performance by Garcia or Matthysse with so many watching could make the winner with Floyd do even better than this card will do. The casual fans love wars and many would really love to see Floyd in one. We know that is probably not going to happen but most people will just see the Blood and think the same could be repeated with Floyd.

I've thought about that fight and I can't see Garcia beating Matthysse. If the fight is a decision, the judges always pick against Matthysse, but I can't see Garcia staying away from Matthysse for 12 rounds. Although Garcia knows that all he has to do is run, not even fight to get a decision.

The only way i see garcia winning is if lucas comes out very wild. In the 3 roundsmofthe peterson fight.... Lucas left himself open several times swinging wildly trying to catch peterson.

Lucas CAN be KO'd if he gets caught with a well timed punch from Garcia when lucas is swinging wildly. He could even do the 360 that morales and khan ended up doing.

personally, i think lucas will bust Garcias face up and hurt him to both body and face. And pull out the win after some exciting exchanges. garcia cuts up easily but matthysse doesn't.

I'm not that impressed by matthyse myself. Wins over fragile Mike Dallas and strangely subdued lamont peterson don't prove anything to me. People acting like he's the second coming of sonny liston and john mugabi. I mean, peterson went down the second time from a punch that didn't even land. Dallas seemed like he was just lookin for an early exit. This is going to be a very, very competitive fight. I think Garcia is gonna test Matthyse's chin, boxing ability and endurance. Garcia will take his lumps too... but whoever wins, it won't be easy.

I don't think it would have happened hadn't Matthysse signed with Haymon, Al pulled a Arum and can't lose. It's a good thing though since it allows this fight to happen.

Danny has a chance. This is boxing. Anything can happen. Perfect counter.......walking in to a punch or just plain getting caught could all lead to a decisive conclusion. Truth be told all those outcomes could happen for or to either man......but based on numbers......who this happens "for" and who this happens "to" seems pretty clear. It's why we have odds that favor Lucas over Danny. But look what happened to Manny vs JMM last time. No one expected Juan to ever knock out Pac......No one exoects Danny to Knock out Lucas.

I got a funny feeling about this fight. I don't think Garcia is gonna win, but I think he's gonna surprise some people with his toughness and power. People seem to think Lucas gonna land a few shots on Garcia and he's gonna go to sleep. I think Garcia gonna eat some punches and immediately come back firing with some shots hard enough to get Lucas' respect. In the end, I expect Lucas to in win a war of attrition, though.

Didn't Garcia struggle with Grandpa Morales in their first fight?

Even at Morales escalated age he's savvier and more skilled than Lucas. I'm shocked, surprised and disappointed by the some of the one sided evaluations ive seen on this site and of course this thread. While we are all entitled to our own opinions I tend to lean towards the fact that most on here have either never fought in a supervised boxing match, are just completely infatuated with Lucas or just plain dislike or disbelieve Danny and his abilities. Its interesting reading the polar like comments regarding this fight folks are so confident in their selections....I admire that. This fight is the definition of toss up and the more I look at it the more I lean towards the fighter with more layers and the more complex dynamic which is of course Danny. Lucas has the stand out abilities that captures the eyes of the common folks while Danny has a deeper foundation. Its pretty clear both have great intangibles though no one can argue the fact that Lucas has the characteristics that draw attention from even the most simple of fans, while Danny "screams" of deeply rooted fight tact and savvy. I urge you guys to look at these comments some of them are jokes  "Lucas is stronger, hits harder and has a better chin...he wins!" LMFAO:lol: really guys. While Lucas is the favorite here (and rightfully so) take some time to get into the granular details of the fight and it might sway your perspective.

I don't think that many people think this will be an easy win for either guy.

For obvious reasons, matthysse is slight favourite, but Garcia could get the KO win. Two men in the ring, both with good ko power and decent chins... Looks like a recipe for a good fight... Hemce the excitement.

Danny gets more hate due to his pops big mouth... But he needs to take that as it also brought him some benefits like in the khan fight... Where khan lost his head.

To sum up, thos fight could be 51% for lucas 49% in favour of garcia... It's a close fight a 50/50 type fight.... Where most people just see lucas having just that much more. I for one certainly don't write garcias chances off in this fight...it's two horse contest, of course he has a chance, just ONE punch can change the fight.
