Khan, as long as he doesn't try and turn it into a slugfest, will blitz this guy. I can't think of a weaker champion that Danny Garcia in recent times. Khan in either the 8th/9th.
I watched a bit of him last night and his footwork is beyond shocking, he literally just stands there flinging his arms about, anybody with a bit of movement he will seriously struggle with
I think Khan will win but how did this guy beat Morrales? I havent watched the fight was it just a case of Eric being to old to execute?
Yeah, pretty much too old to execute. He was landing on Garcia at will - even busting his nose towards the end. His superior skill was all there to see. But he just didn't have the speed, stamina and reflexes to do the job he normally would have.
Morales looked awful on the scale, he had fat hanging over the side of his shorts, love handles style. He's a ****ing legend but he is pretty much done and he was obviously enjoying life too much to train properly, and he still managed to make Garcia look a complete plonker in patches that win was over the lowest form of morales
that giff is awesome If thats how garcia fights all the time then Khans straight shots should get to him. Probably a late stoppage Actually after looking at a few mins of youtube he looks awful, little head movement and he just seems to telegraph his shots. Khan should really looking to be doing a number of this kid
I kinda agree with this but I feel he is more awkward than he looks, I feel speed is the factor but I envision some shaky moments for some reason...
It wouldnt be any other way with khan hes still awful on the inside and hes been rocked more than once. I think most people see it the same way though if Amir keeps it long and boxes and moves he should be fine
His shots may be wide and loopy, but those are the ones that Khan falls victim to The Khan of the McCloskey and Peterson fight - the way he was lunging in and being too eager for the knockout - could play into Garcia's hands. He [Garcia] may not look like he does anything spectacular but he counters really well and hits hard enough to get respect. If it goes into the latter part of the fight and Khan hasn't done anything significant, then things will get interesting.
I don't reckon much to him from what I've seen, but Khan isn't a smart fighter by any means. Managed to put himself in harm's way a lot against Peterson, who chugs forward like a diesel tractor. It's the sort of opponent that Amir ought to beat 120-108 x3, but he'll get drawn in. After the fight he'll say ''I wanted to prove that I've got a chin, and to shut a lot of people up, know what I mean, you know, erm...?''. If I was sending a fighter in against Khan I'd tell him to focus on the body for the first three rounds, once you're in close start thinking about short hooks and uppercuts.... he's clueless on the inside.
I expect Khan to dazzle Garcia with speed and do his usual ambush and get out tactics, leaving Garcia swinging wildly and missing. I think Khan could look first class in this fight
