From watching their fights, I just don't see how Garcia will have much of a chance of beating Matthysse. His punches are shorter, he is quicker, better defense, cuts the ring off and after a round he gets his distance, sometime before round one is over. So many on this board were picking Peterson to beat Matthysse, Garcia picked Peterson to win, so did Hopkins..............Garcia could land a lucky punch, anything can happen in boxing, but Matthysse looks to be the much better of the two.

There's something about this fight. Danny Garcia might have an Ace in this, because he's a 3-1 underdog, everyone I know says that Matthyse is several notches higher than him, the experts think Matthyse got this ( Judah, Robert Garcia among others) yet, EVERYONE is excited about this and can't wait to see it.

 

See unlike you some people actually analyse the fight properly not just by hype and peoples fans

matthyse has not only beaten but he has destroyed better fighter and faced more lively competition. garcia to me is still semi untested.. we seen good fight when he took down khan but i need to see one more good performance from him against high lvl comp before i can say he is the goods

I don't know how anyone can be so polarized about this fight. on paper they're evenly matched and both have a decent shot of winning. that may not be how things play out at this point but its almost impossible to predict a winner in this fight with certainty

 

I think it will turn into a shoot out early, both of them can be hit.
