i have no idea how danny is a 3-1 dog. in all likelihood gbp wants garcia to win as opposed to matthysse so if danny makes it to the cards without being knocked down hell win the fight by decision.

how was the berto/jsk fight even going into the 12th round?

how was canelito up 4-0 after four and up 9 points after eight(on stanley cards) against trout?

how was james beating molina at the time of stoppage(gale van hoye)?

 

It is a difficult prediction to make and I've been shocked by the number of folks claiming Lucas will just run over Garcia, the same Lucas that failed to make the proper adjustments during his bouts with Alexander and Zab, two men who in my opinion have shown less mental fortitude when compared to Garcia. Lucas is natural aggressor and Garcia has shown he can be quite successful as a counter puncher, I doubt Lucas is has faster hands then Khan & Zab....this is going to an interesting one that's for sure.

 

I see Lucas winning this fight bc of Danny's inability to block or get out of the way of Straight punches. I just feel from a stylistic stand point the match up favors Lucas. The first Eric Morales fight stands out to me. Though Danny has gotten better and more confident. There is a huge part of me that feels the unexpected can occur and Danny can hurt and stop Lucas. This is a 60/40 fight for me and I can wait to watch it.

 

See this I the problem people keep bringing up the Zab fight but if they actually watched it they will see Matthysse wasn't aggressive for ****, I want people to put money on Garcia so when they lose they feel dumb becaue bringing up the Judah fight is terrible

The Alexander one he did fight aggressive but Alexander is much better than Garcia

I actually can't understand why anyone's picking Garcia, I think Peterson had a better chance than Garcia

This, I've been trying to tell people the same thing. specifically that
Lucas throws a measuring slow right hand to the body, Danny is going
to counter that shot specifically over and over. He also has an innate ability to throw shots just seconds before his opponent does. I don't think Lucas holds a speed advantage but even if he did, Danny has great timing and will
negate it.

You're assuming people only saw Matthysse for the first time against Peterson. Speak for yourself. I've been following the guy since he whipped Harris' ass. Garcia about the same length of time.

My opinion isn't based on just one impression of either, or even a mere handful - but years of watching them.

 

I believe balance, foot position, and countering is gonna win it for Danny.
I believe in this fight, he'll have to show how good his beard is to win though.
he's not cute, he's gonna take shots.
