after his "win" on herrera and now peterson...he looks like a journeyman fighter....never elite.... if only khan fought smart and listened to roach and not go "macho mode"...he would have beaten garcia via ud and we wont be hearing from this joker right now....
I agree danny is a joke lol and some idiots thought he could beat Pacquiao. garcia is just a 1 trick pony he's just about done.
Danny fights everyone and is now a joke? Like him or not , the man is a true fighter , no joke in my opinion.
I wouldn't class him as a journeyman fighter. He's done well for himself and he deserves some respect, but he's not elite and I don't think he ever will be. He's not a very versatile fighter, he's very sluggish and when he's up against a fighter that troubles him he sticks to doing the same thing. Still, he's no journeyman.
This is very harsh on Garcia. He was in against an overweight, roided up to the eye ***** good boxer. And put in a poor performance. Peterson is not the slickest boxer he has ever faced this should of been alot closer. Although he is not just any old journeyman he is a bit basic, flat footed and one dimensional and gets caught out by movement. EDIT. I typed this inbetween watching rounds 11 and 12. I dont believe it. Garcia wins?
Too much gifts? Are you sure you're not talking about Pacquiao against Marquez for 3 fights? Who did Floyd get a gift from? the only argument you can make is castillo 1, but Floyd edged it, so no it wasn't a gift.
Peterson could have made anybody look bad running around like that. There's sticking and moving , boxing off the back foot and there's running. Peterson was flat out running away and doing nothing but touching Garcia's gloves with a flicking jab. He gave up too many rounds doing nothing and judges will score for the aggressor. The most convincing blows of the first half came from Garica. And Peterson putting on an extra 22 pounds in weight is a disgrace. It wasn't a fair fight. Welter vs a Middle. Garcia should leave 140 for good. He said he wanted the rematch at 147 so he obviously felt the weight was a problem
