Are these guys going anywhere under McCrory's tutelage/Hyde's promotion?

They haven't fought since April. I know Perez has been injured by I have a few questions.

I think the answer is simple-MONEY-but why haven't these guys got in with the best of Britain's domestic scenes? Is it all down to money; I.e Hyde hasn't got the money to persuade Hennessy/Warren/Maloney to get their guys in with these Cubans? Or is it because the British fighters are being protected. It wouldn't seem good business to serve up our best as possibly cannon fodder for some potentially World-class Cubans for little to no money.

Or is it because Hyde isn't pursuing these fights because he doesn't think they're a good idea? Because he lacks the contacts maybe? I genuinely have little to no clue who he is to be honest, I'm pleading ignorance here.

Now, to me Perez should be fighting a Williams/Rogan/Harrison-type guy next. Imagine the profile boost he would receive.

For the right money, Rogan vs Perez could be made and we'd have a matchup to get excited about. Garcia vs Quigley would be another one. Acosta vs Jason Booth would be another fantastic matchup.

Now, for starters I would say that maybe, just maybe, THESE Cubans (unlike the classy likes of Gamboa and Rigondeaux) might not be ready for these guys yet. I'm not sure how dedicated they are to training, and I'm not sure how far they've come yet with their trangression into the paid ranks.

Booth was maybe a silly example; he is top class IMO, and Garcia still unproven at this level.

Quigley, tough guy, but too tough for someone as touted as Garcia?

I ask these things because Gamboa et al have been pushed hard. Lara hasn't had great opposition yet but he's fighting fairly regularly.

These guys seem to be, excuse the pun, 'missing the boat'. (is that a pun or irony? I'm not sure)

There doesn't seem to be a TV Deal in place yet British fans showed their appreciation for overseas fighters when a lot of us took Prescott under our own wing when it transpired Warren may have had the rights to him. That's another story but a lot of pople appreciated the fact he came over here from a poor background and gave it is all in exciting fashion.

I think British fans would warm to these Cubans just for the fact that they are so talented.

    What do others think?

    Thanks for reading:good

garcia was to face campillo in spain at the end of may but got cold feet and wouldnt fight.acosta was to also fight but would not go because garcia wasnt.perez is injured as you know. perez and acosta are in training and i dont know about garcia. acosta will fight in doncaster this month. i think someone on the irish thread mentioned something about hyde running a show in october.as you probably know hyde spent a lot of money and time pursueing rigondeaux in the states so that can be used as an excuse for their inactivity. also acosta is training with barnardo checka (excuse spelling) in belfast and not with mccrory tbh i dont know what happened there.

Well as you say, Perez has been injured, Garcia was supposed to be fighting Campillo but had word in his ear and pulled out. I think they will be over on a US card for some exposure pretty soon.

yeab but garcia would have been fighting an 8 rounder

campillo does well against fighters that run out of gas

Garcia wouldnt ran out in 8 rounds.

McCrory is still involved gary has decided to give them different trainers i think perez is staying with him

also on the rigondeauz situation it should be all ironed out by the end of october

Im going to the doncaster show, now I'm looking forward to seeing one of the cuban prospects, was a bit gutted when Esham Pickering pulled out and then Dean O'loughlin but this has put a smile back on my face, even if it will be a quick blow out.
