Garcia's style is becoming unraveled and exposed. Just like Porter's was around the time he fought Thurman/Berto. I find it fascinating how Thurman pretty much called the fight. He said Porter would win unless Garcia landed the bigger counter punches. I thought he would. He didn't. Thurman said that Garcia is dead set on being the counter puncher and being 2nd. Thats exactly why he lost. Porter clearly had a focused game plan during camp on being first and out working Garcia. He did it about as well as anyone could. He did it to Broner but this time around he was cleaner and let me state he looked a hell lot more in shape in general. Garcia's camp(Pops) for some reason hasn't made adjustments. Its been obvious what Garcia's weakness was since the Peterson fight. Thurman and Porter just been the only ones with the style to use it and win. I think they have always had the same plan/camp. Garcia always comes super sharp with quick counters and minimum foot/head movement. Its no longer getting the work done. Now we have Porter/Spence about to be made. Wow! Never thought this would happen and quite frankly I'm very disappointed. I dont see Porter beating Spence at all. Spence by some type of stoppage. What do you guys think? Is Thurman fighting the winner or will he fight a top 10 guy first? Garcia needs top 10 opponent to get back in the 147 mix. Who do you think that will be?
Thurman speaks so much more intelligently about fights than a lot of other pros. When he's asked to call a fight he really gives a good breakdown.
