"Brandon ain't taking it easy with nobody. He wants to fight the best guys out there. Everybody says that Brandon fights similarly to Margarito, and that could be true. Brandon keeps on coming, works the body beautifully and throws really good uppercuts in there. The only difference is that Brandon is 10 years younger than Margarito, which could be a big difference in a fight with Manny Pacquiao,"

I don't think so. Pacquiao can move and land and he can work under pressure just fine.
Good fight for Rios in monetary terms but bad fight in healthy terms.

I think so too, Iron chin, warrior, PAC couldn't even get Margarito out and that was a drained Margo passed prime off of a TKO loss and 1 1/2 year lay off, Rios would do good IMO, I'm not predicting a win... but he'll make Pacquiao work... Pacquiao ain't no abril... and they will definitely trade at one point.

Would love to see a good action fight with PACQUIAO so he can get his confidence back these boxers just complicating things and his P4P ranking.

Don't get my post wrong... I think PAC wins but it would be an entertaining fight and Rios would have some moments... Pac ain't no longer a spring chicken if ya catch my drift.

I'm giving Brandon a decent chance to win. I wouldn't bet the house on it. Definitely wouldn't go that far. However I believe he stands a chance - more than what most people give him. Pacquiao is susceptible to uppercuts at times. He got hurt by a body shot from Margarito. Pac loves to brawl which means he will give Rios a chance to land and that's always dangerous. Cotto got Pac against the ropes and hammered him a few times. I can see Rios doing a better job.

If nothing else, **** it. Make Pac-Rios happen. Who else is there for Pac to fight? It's safe to assume Arum will never let him fight a GBP fighter ever again. Rios, the way he fights, deserves a 7 figure paycheck.

There comes a time when you just gotta throw conventionality out the window and look at it as a fight between two brawlers who love to knock people out.

Pac likely stops Rios after 9 rounds. But I will not be shocked to see an upset.

How in the world would Rios do a better job than Cotto in cornering Manny? Unless you're referring to a significant decline on Manny's part.

We know you Love Cotto don't let it blind you :yep

I can sense that anger. No one but cotto can do a better job at cornering PAC only if he declines?, but come on cotto only did try for a few rounds then his favorite backpedaling strategy took over.

Rios would put in some work. He might even do better then cotto :hey you never know, not cotto's fault he was drained and didn't have a corner anyways.

That's the only thing which will give Rios hope - if Manny doesn't have his legs any more. Because the Manny of 2009/10 would absolutely ruin him.

Cotto's a far more intelligent fighter than Rios, is Bogotazo's point.

Cornering PAC is not some super hard thing he chooses to put himself there at times to take a break anyways... that's all I'm saying... He could probably do some work.. why not if Margo did... not saying rios would win but it wouldn't be a shut out... he can do some work.

So Rios can 'surprise' PAC by stealing a round instead of being shut out... or before he is brutally stopped...

It actually can be (if he's not purposefully taking breaks there, like you say). Hatton, who has awesome footwork in closing down and trapping opponents, found it difficult to keep Pac in one place. Rios is much slower than him and has far inferior footwork to Cotto, and so if Pacquiao decides to box and create angles (with his feet) like he normally does, then Bogotazo is correct. And Marg's a bigger, more relentless hitter than Rios. His body shots were more lethal.

But I do agree. He'll do some work. Pacquiao always allows his opponents to get shots in. And considering he isn't the fighter he was two years ago, Rios most likely will be within a chance of making it competitive.
