Garcia says Maidana going for 100 punches a round against Broner.

No way JMM has better defense than Broner neither does Bradley nor Alexander. Broner has his way with guys like Maidana. Broner is a talented boxer he has good not great defense and good offensive ability. He needs to work on his movement IMO and is flawed because of that. If he moved better I would say he would be one of the very best in the sport today but he doesn't.

 

Broners flaws are in his arsenal. He has no flair with his punches against a mover yet. Everything is straight punches which is why he couldn't catch Paulie clean consistently like he has done to others in the past.

Maidana can get this done. He's got the size/strength to hurt Broner and not be hurt in return. Broner can't punch at 147 anyway. Malignaggi could tag Broner all night, Maidana can hit him 1/4 the amount but 20 times harder. Broner will be able to hit Maidana, but only when Maidana isn't pounding on him. Maidana won't respect the power of Broner. He's a much bigger/tougher guy than DeMarco.

if he tries to set a 100 punches per round pace he will get ko'd. my guess is he's going to realize very quickly....missing more makes you tired. that should drop to about 40-50 punches per round.

 

It doesn't matter what Maidana brings to the table. He can't beat Broner.

 

i know its almost a given maidana would come in to the fight with this kind of approach but i still dont like how garcia just confirms it so broner knows what to expect. even though he basically already does, but now its certain he does.

an as far as broners footwork. i dont know if its good or bad. i do know overall as a fighter he improved alot sense 3 or 4 yrs ago.. an he may have the foot work but he may just have not needed to use it. why move wen u kno u can knock the dude out. so he walked guys down. we will see if maidana brings it like we think he should. is broner just gunna stand his ground? or is he gonna try n box or bang it out with maidana.
