Firstly, he decided to brawl against Provo.

Secondly, Provo is a better offensive fighter than anyone Broner has faced. Bradley has been in with a far higher calibre of opponent.

It's all about the competition. Bradley is fighting Pacquiao, Provodnikov and Marquez - of course he's going to get hit! Meanwhile, Broner is fighting Gavin Rees and a washed up Paulie Malignagni.

 

Khan and Hatton beat the **** out of Paulie then forced the stoppage, and that was prime Paulie at his proper weight. Broner wasn't able to do either of these things against Paulies corpse, but he will have no problems systematically breaking Maidana down with counters, and then knocking him out ?

I honestly expect a different and better Broner, but if that broner turns up with the same style of standing there for 10 seconds without throwing anything then he gets stopped by Maidana. But there's people who think that the Broner from the Paulie fight beats Maidana easy. Broner needs more activity than in the Paulie fight in punches thrown and footwork.

 

I disagree but Bradley isn't a poor defensive fioghter just not as good as Broner. Broner didn't get hit flush by Pauile in that fight.

maidana also loves come forward types as well, especially non active fighters like Broner, the style suits both. what might give Broner the edge is the speed of his punches but maidana might not have to land many to dent broner. If Maidana can't hurt Broner then he won't win.
