Basically yeah, you have to have a deep boxing knowledge ready to use at your disposal, then use completely different looks that he cannot pattern and capitalize on. And you have to do it all as thoughtlessly as possible because your pausing and thinking is just another thing he can exploit. I believe the first point to be the most important, that is, what truly decides whether you actually beat him or not is the depth of ready to use knowledge at your disposal.

he is a brawler who happened to fight a guy who is ttoo stupid or too flatfooted or both, to stand infront of him.

maidana is gonna gas in 3 rounds hitting nothing but air againt ped.

 

The only chance he has is to come forward and literally push floyd onto the ropes and just swing away. He won't be hitting anything but gloves and arms but maybe he can try and break a bone or land one clean shot and do some damage, highly unlikely though.
