    Is this what people think?

Crawford hasn't been picking on small fighters. Not by any notable means at all, really.

He faced the best available opposition at lightweight, and has had only one fight at 140. I agree that he's not proven against top caliber fighters there, but he's shown enough thus far to indicate that we shouldn't be dismissing him outright without giving him a chance to shine.

I don't necessarily agree there, but even if he was more competitive than Pac (again, I don't tend to agree he would be, Pac is still a fairly dynamic fighter and is a proven quantity at welter, with certain attributes that will always lead to some rounds won vs Floyd) but again even if he was more competitive than Pac, it would be marginal at best, and still results in a dominant win for Mayweather. And every matchup is different, I don't see Crawford having the traits to trouble Mayweather at all, regardless of having more tools than Pac.

But so lets say he does do a bit better than Pac, he still loses in fairly convincing fashion, in my opinion.

The little Gamboa, while fighting once a year, was able to outbox Crawford plenty of times early in the fight when he was actually sticking to his gameplan. It was when Gamboa started fighting like an idiot and standing his ground that Crawford eventually overcame him.... but it was a competitive fight for the first half.
Mayweather would not only do multitudes of times better than Gamboa the first half, he would maintain it and improve upon it in the 2nd half.

Crawford vs Bradley is a much much better matchup and at least winnable for Crawford, and even that is giving Crawford a lot of undue credit imo, but Mayweather is out of his league for now.

    just imo :good

But no I wouldn't pay to see a PPV it would be a great fight on cable though and should happen down the line.

Zab Judah was held near the heights of Crawford before he plummeted down to reality. Big statements about a fighter that still has a lot to prove and a lot to learn. His potential is immaculate, but a fight with Garcia would be his best win by some distance. I'd give him a good chance, but your building Crawford up to much here.

I think the fact his most notable win was over someone he had 3 inches in height and 5 in reach on probably created that illusion

    Here's my take.

First, the reason why Gamboa diverged from his game plan was that Crawford begin to find the range with his jab and right hook upon switching south-paw, and then proceeded to establish command of range based on that.

Now, against Mayweather, TC would have a more difficult time establishing range. But based on ring IQ, defensive awareness, and the ability to give Mayweather different looks from different stances, I think he might diminish some of the effectiveness of Mayweather's current game plan, and force him to attempt more than he normally has to in order to control his opponent.

It's similar to Lara in that it's a mirror match of sorts. It's a more difficult match, imo, because Crawford is a bit more versatile than Erislandy.

Mayweather may well be able to overcome Crawford. I'd still favor him to win. But this is one instance where he'll be facing someone who can come at him in different ways, and that's not something Mayweather's had to deal with all that often in recent fights.
