We, the fans, should be eternally grateful to Ryan Garcia for what he did last Saturday night. The sport of boxing should be. It was a victory for good over evil. Right over wrong. Honesty over corruption. Excitement over insipidity. Beauty over ugliness. Haney was nothing but a creation of the US hype machine which had been in full overdrive manufacturing the next US ''star'' and the powers that be and the shady forces behind closed doors had already had to resort to lashings of brazen corruption to preserve his zero and prevent the hype and gravy trains from being derailed when yet again their thieving judges, as they do damn near all the time over there, robbed the foreigner, an old past prime injury-ravaged leprechaun at that who was already giving away obscene physical advantages in terms of size, weight and reach, 20lbs (or four divisions) and six inches in reach, to the biggest weight bully in boxing in their backyard, with the stacked to high heaven stacked deck of a home ref and three home judges in tow all of whom seemingly corrupt as sin and whose services had been enlisted to ensure that America's latest "star'' got the win no matter what.

And with the addition of a freaking 36 hour weigh in to boot, if not longer, for a fight between the biggest 135 pounder ever and the smallest one in the division who literally embodies everything right, noble and great about the sport, has an exciting, honest and actual style who despite being tiny for the division and having to routinely face off against giants and huge weight bullies who hold huge physical advantages over him, who in complete contrast to Haney and the hideous, contemptible, cowardly and soporific brand of ''slickness'' he's a student of and represents known as Modern American slickness, relies on nothing but the application of pure skill (sublime skills at that) exhibited in an honest, fair, and legal fashion and is an absolute joy to watch.

Why is the hype machine in overdrive trying to manufacture and persevere the unbeaten records of ''stars'' who are leprechaun bashing gigantic weight bullies who even when they move up 2 or 3 divisions are still bigger or much bigger than their opponents and who only actually start facing opponents their own size when campaigning in their third or fourth weight class, and who despite being way bigger and heavier than their opponents are mind-numbingly boring risk averse featherfists who can't punch their way through 1000 y/o cobwebs and whose amazing ''skills'' consist of stinking the joint out by running and/or using their natural size and range advantages in order to keep it long and eeverytime their smaller or shorter reach opponents do manage to close the disce and get into punching range grabbing a hold of them like an octopus and holding like crazy?

It's an ugly, boring, cowardly and hideous to watch style and it sucks every ounce of the excitement and atmosphere out of the fight and arena and one which no fan of the sport, be they casuals or hardcores, actually enjoys watching and if they tell you they do they're lying.

Loma and Usyk outbox and outclass their opponents and make them miss, opponents their size or usually bigger or way bigger, via the use of legal, honourable, highly impressive and enjoyable to watch skills, not by running, holding like crazy all night, ducking their heads below waist level, and doing everything within their power and the power the corrupt home refs vest in them to prevent their opponents from landing shots, in their backyard with the stacked deck of home refs and three home judges but many of the fans of the abomination that is American slickness, and I mean the fans of that schools from all over the world not just US residents, hate them. Go figure

Even the old school slicksters from the US school relied on actual legal skills to get the job done and were enjoyable to watch before the US school was corrupted with this abomination of 'slickness'

Ryan, love him or hate him, is fun to watch, is a KO artist with a deadly left hook, and, unlike Hideous Huggy Haney, is handsome and is much better for the sport and one cannot overstate how great a service he did the sport of boxing when he exposed that fraud and everything he and his hideous and unmanly style represents, including the corruption machine behind him, and derailed that hype train. Salute, King Ryan.

Garcia missing weight by 3 pounds changes everything. Yes, he won, but all bets were off.

Honestly I think Teo can find some success in 147. I see him doing well against someone like Connor Benn, Roiman Villa, and maybe even Spence or Vergil Ortiz (not sure cuz he also got dynamite in his hands, but then again Golden Boy loves their hypjobs.)

Haney tho, I don't see him venturing into 147, I don't think he can even beat Barrios. Let alone Boots. Boots would smoke Teo and Haney

This could end up being an entirely different cautionary tale. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Don't start jumping for joy like a giddy Haney dick riding school girl quite yet Reppin. This isn't over until it's over. Also, it doesn't change the fact that Haney got exposed as a chinless, powerless fraud with porous defense, that most rational posters have always known he was.

Man I’m not “jumping for joy”, it’s awful and bordering on criminal. It’s bad for everybody, nobody wins here, but dude is a legitimate cheat in multiple contexts of the word.

Sounds good until you realize Garcia was juiced.
