    This fight did not warrant a rematch. The only guy whose career could be shortened is Matthysse. He took major facial damage in this fight. This was just another fight for Danny. Matthysse fought tough, but he clearly lost. If Danny fought dirty, so did Matthysse. You can't accuse one of this and over look the other who did that. Low blows and rabbit punches.

    You do realize Danny only landed 18 more punches according to final punch stats? Also I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but im pretty sure it would have been less if The soldier wasent half blind :hi:

    Major damage ??? He was getting new tattoos the following day (Matthysse's whole back Is now covered in ink ) and the doctor said he could be back in 45 days :patsch

    "If it wasn't for 1 bad eye"? <<<This got to be one of the most dumbest excuses ever. Was that bad eye result from a punch? Or a butt? It was from a punch then stop with this "if it wasn't for 1 bad eye" because Garcia out box Lucas and beat him fair and square. It's like saying "If it wasn't for 1 bad eye, Mike Tyson would finish off dougles after knock dougles down."

    Shoulda been a draw or Matthyesse win. If not for the eye Danny gets stopped. Great fight, world demands a rematch!!! Credit to Danny too, tho. Made the most out of Lucas' handicap. Took hellacious shots too and was still,standing. About to get stopped many times, tho.

    :lol: This has been puzzling to me. Some fanboys are acting like this is the first time this has happenned (a swollen eye) in a boxing match. A lot of people are saying it was the left hooks, but for me it was the jabs Danny was throwing in the early rounds. ITs part of boxing. I guess we can say know that Margarito would have beaten Manny if it wasnt for the swollen eye huh?
